Well, "box as big as a TV" was a slight exaggaration, but still
the box was huge. I didn't do anything special to get the free
shipping, just asked "you also have free shipping on orders over
$50, don't you", and she said "yes, we do, you get free shipping".
Since the order was $60 before the coupon, you should get
free shipping.

Staples is known to tell you one price on the phone and later
charge you the full price. I'm still waiting for their charge
to show on my account, to make sure they charged me $43.

Good point. If you did it over the phone, you will have to call Staples & they will fax you a copy of the receipt with the price & everything on it.
 
Hey!! I didnt know if it would work or not but it did! I got a seemingly clueless rep. Price-matched the voodoo 3 3k agp for $80 at gogocity.com, + S&H for 6.28 for 86.28. They let me use the $25 off $75 coupon as well as the price match for $90.80 (including tax) - $25 = $65.80 (minus rebate of $30) for a total price of $35.80

Not bad for this great card! Thanks for all of your guys' help!
 
How do you guys get these cards? I called into staples national chain and they don't have them in stock or to be ordered? what number are you guys calling? 18007827537? these must be regional then 🙁

i first tried another number and the dumb lady told me they didnt have it in their catalog. u have to use the number above for online ordering and online price matching.
 
Question: I don't think it does, but does the V3 3k PCI from staples have a tv out?

Also, any places have the V3 3k pci cheap to pricematch, or do some CSRs let you pricematch the agp to the pci card, or can you just exhange it at your local staples. Also, is it easy to get the coupon added on after you have already placed the order? I don't want to risk them denying me the coupon.

edit: aww crud, they wouldn't let me pm gogocity cause "that site gets their stuff directly from the manufacturer so they'll be cheaper no matter what." I think she was talkin to her supervisor while I was on hold cause she seemed kinda dumb and gave me some bs when I asked her a question that lead me to believe she has no idea what she's talkin about.

I guess I could just go with the 2k with buy.com pm

ssjgokou1 you lucky bastard. They let you pricematch a v3 2k oem to a v3 3k agp, dang. Maybe I should try a few more times for the 3k oem.

I just placed my order for the V3 3000 AGP w/ TV-out. Total was $61.43. After rebate just $31. Can't beat that with a bat.

hey guys, thought I would be banned again, anywayz, they caught the extra $20, but I got to get $8 back for shipping because I called them up and said that it was $5, a lie of course. So I paid still, $72.99-$25=$57, but I exchanged it at BB for a 2000, and I got $30 store credit, and I called 3dfx and told them that Staples sent me a 2000, but on the shipping sheet they wrote a 3000, could I still get the rebate? I don't want to call back and argue with them to change the order again, so he said "it should be fine"

now I hope to get $30 more from 3dfx.

OMFG! I got the pricematch for the V3 3k AGP for $86, got the coupon added on, the CSR got my address, phone # and email, then she tells me its not in stock! Nooooooooooo, why didn't I do this earlier. They don't let you place an order to ship when they get in stock either. Argh...
 
The same thing happened to me. I ordered it and then they told me that they were out of stock. I emailed a service rep and told them how i was very upset and that them letting me know that they were out of stock AFTER i placed the order was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. i also said something about losing confidence in their co. blah blah blah...anyway, the guy is gonna watch for new shipments of the card..order it as soon as it comes in with all the coupons i used, as well as take off $10 for my troubles.

It pays to BITCH...hehe d=)

my card should now be ordered in 10-14 business days...new price after rebate and $10 off should be $25.80 for the 3k 3000 AGP. not bad.
 
I don't like to flame someone else's "good fortune" but what ssjgohan1 is doing is not getting a good deal, it is fraud! It is outright stealing!

If we want to flame about free offers that never ship and internet auction scams, then we can't be defrauding others. Getting a free T-shirt is one thing but lying on rebate forms and returning merchandise to a different vendor/store than you bought it from is pure bush league.

Just because your return was accepted doesn't make it right!

Get the best deal you can, price match, use coupons, stand your ground, but play by all the rules! Otherwise, you are going to ruin it for everyone!
