i think u might be misunderstanding something. Not all the info is encrypted...if u read it properly only some acks and some non-impt info
are unencrypted...the rest ARE encrypted.

remote desktop, very reliable. i can use the client at work, or the web client if im at another computer. I don't know what I'd do without it.

actually, i'd probably be more productive.

i use a combination of ssh and tightvnc.

ssh has a compression so does tightvnc and when you use them

together it runs really smooth, really close to terminal services.

and since i am running tightvnc thru ssh all the traffic is secured ( well

as secure as ssh is )

for those who dont know ssh is secure shell. in a nutshell it is just like telnet that is secure.

Netop, it rules very fast. i use it for non citrix clients

Citrix for users logged onto my servers. but only to troubleshoot whats wrong with their app. Citrix does not give you remote control of another persons pc.

I guess TightVIC for cross platform compatibility...
For Windows networks, Remote Administrator is the best IMO....

For Remote Administration, I like:

Terminal Services for Windows 2000 or XP
PcAnywhere or VNC for Windows 9X and NT
X-Win32 for UNIX
Desktop On-Call for odd-ball specialized tasks. It's different than the others, because it runs as a Java applet from a web browser. It also supports SSL.
