Vlad was way more important to his team than Sheffield was to the Yanks and Manny was to the Red Sox. I'm glad he won!

All had similar numbers, Vlad's high batting average, superior defensive ability and clutch hitting at the end made him a prime candidate. Either way, don't look too much into the "MVP" award in MLB. Since there are 2 awards (one from each league), it isn't as impressive as the NBA, NHL, or NFL.

Hey Mets... take a look at the AL MVP. This was the player you fools were so facking worried about. Did he fack up his back??? NO! Was he on the disabled list?? NO! Was he awesome?? HELL FACKING YES!! Stupid Mets... ugh... and instead of getting a great player born in the Dominican they may get a bum from the Dominican (Sosa).

Screw the Mets. How the Giants didn't jump on him is beyond me. The hitting duo they would have had would rival Gehrig/Ruth and Mantle/Maris (in '61). It's insane how they didn't dump every free dollar they had on Vladdie.
