Vlad didn't want to sign with the Mets regardless.

Certainly..I totally understand that, but the Mets went through all that crap and BS'ed their fan based about that whole medical situation. They could have offered the man 100+ million and if he turned it down then fine. Bah.. why do I complain anyways.. its the Mets and as a fan I should know better.

Vlad is just awesome and a total freak at the plate. The man swings at anything...and still hits the freakin ball. The Angels supposedly wants to change their name to the LA Angels even though they dont play in LA. umm..ok.

Vlad was signed under market value right?? I know he didn't for crappy money..what I mean is that someone with his stats could have gotten alot more under a stronger market right?

Screw the Mets. How the Giants didn't jump on him is beyond me. The hitting duo they would have had would rival Gehrig/Ruth and Mantle/Maris (in '61). It's insane how they didn't dump every free dollar they had on Vladdie.

i'm still mad at that! imagine having him the final 2 weeks against the dodgers!

I think he ended up with 5 years and $70 million. That was under market value.
