I ordered a few days ago, and when I checked my status today, it was back ordered. Funny how Microsoft's own product is backordered.....🙂

I just did it and it was free. You could always just download the express edition. Anyone can do that.

I saw a video from some channel9 (MS) blog showing the new features of Avalon and XAML. I've never heard or seen either of the two, but they're upcoming features in the next version of VS (if I understand correctly). They look very promising and make things much easier to do things, especially when it comes to designing user interfaces quickly.

But as CrackaLackaZe said, any reason to upgrade to the beta 2 from 2003?

EDIT: For some reason the security image wasn't showing up in IE, so ironically I had to use Firefox to complete the application and get my order fulfilled. Thanks OP!

Excellent! Free for me too.

I had downloaded this, but it was something like 2.2GB and I had CRC errors in a couple of files after burning the ISO. Or at least that is what the installer said when installing on WinXP x64. I'll be glad to have an original on disc.

thx!

Yes there are lots of reasons to get this especially when vs 2005 comes out. A good example would be operator overloading or being able to change your code and still run the app without having to restart the application. See microsofts site for more details

This probably also has .net 2.0 just like Beta 1 did. Oh yeah, it also had a lot better documentation than 2003.
