my school is cheap - no vista, just XP :

Did you check MSDNAA? For general students, only XP is up right now, but for the MSDNAA Vista Business is up.

I am wanting Ultimate, what does business have that Ultimate doesn't or vice versa?

Ultimate has everything. Business is lacking a few things that the Media Center type version of Vista has (and v.v.).

Too bad my comp isn't beefy enough for vista:(

that said, this same pc running beryl looks every bit as good as vista, except for the lack of anti-aliasing:(

I have Vista Business that came from powertogether.com and can download Vista Enterprise from my university for free. Which should I install? I don't think I need the Bitlocker encryption or the other features Enterprise has...or do I?

Ok I just found out my school is a member and I am downloading Office 2007 right now, but Vista isn't up. And do schools get Ultimate? That is what I am wanting because of the media center feature.

What no fair? Your school's MSDNAA gets Office 2k7... mine only gets Vista Business.
