I am facing this really strange problem in Windows Vista. If I change the resolution, the display goes crazy: I see lines appear on the screen in different colours/patterns...Then I have to restart the system to correct the problem...
This never happened to me with previous versions of nVidia drivers for Vista. This problem started as I installed a press batch of Windows Vista drivers...
I discovered the problem when I tried to play games on Windows Vista after installing the new drivers: None of the games displayed correctly when I started them. Initially, I thought that problem was in the card, so I tested out the games on Windows XP, on which they worked perfectly.
After numerous installations & formats of OS's, the determined what was causing the games to not work in Windows Vista: Any change in resolution (might occur during game startup) causes the game to not work. This turned out to be true, after I tried the same games again that didn't work before. Only this time, I made sure that the resolution didn't change during game startup (How I did this, is another story). Now the games worked fine in Windows Vista.
But I don't know what is causing the display in Windows Vista to go fuzzy when a resolution change is triggered !!!! ...Any ideas ?
I have also uploaded a small video clip, in which I start up GRAW 2...Because there is a change in resolution, the display goes crazy, although you can still hear the sounds correctly...
