anyone else have ideas on possible things to do?

My ideas:
Pool
Shopping
Clubbing (at Faces) - jk - [it's a gay bar]
Minature golf
Dinner
 
You actually came up with a good idea.
I was thinking of drinking and going to a strip club but playing pool is good too.
I'm starting work next week so my time is limited.
Mon-off at 6 Tues-no good Wed-off Thur-off at 7
If you want to meet and play pool, I'm up for it. Strip club is good too.
 
what company are you working w/? from that 5-7 description, sounds like you're staying at the embassy suites. Thats where my company put up alot of travelers. That & the sheraton.
 
Sactown is fun..... for about the first 5 mins, then you get mugged 😛

Seriously though if you're willing to drive Sactown (wtf is up with this Sacto crap??) is about 2 hours from everything interesting in Norcal. To the east you've got Taho and Reno, to the West you've got the Ga...err Bay Area (Frisco, wine country, cold coast brrr), North you've got ummm Mendicino County for some excellent herbal renewel 😀, and to the South uhhh to the South... yeah there's a south.

Have fun, and keep a look out for your stuff.
 
I've walked through downtown Sac, even on Broadway at night and never got mugged. But then again, who would want to ruin this pretty face? 😉
 
Is everybody ok with Thursday night at 8pm, meet at my hotel which I will provide to everyone that is coming and then hit the pool hall and the strip club afterwards...well for those that wanna go...haha

Ok so arrived in Sacramento last night actually staying in Rancho Cordova. I've only gotten 2 replies for the netmeet on Thursday. Is there anyone else interested besides dquan and wahsapa....

Spend any of your free time and go visit SF (very cool city, lots to do!--90 minutes away by car), Napa (wine valley, very interesting places to visit--90 minutes), or Lake Tahoe (nature, skiing, Vegas style casinos/shows--2 hrs away).

Sacto/Central Valley Cali. is not what most out-of-staters think of California....so skip it or be dissapointed if you invest the time getting to know it when you could visit MUCH more interesting places.

Agreed. I used to live there and it does not represent California in the least. Old Town is boring. The clubs are boring. The chicks overall aren't that great to look at. Definitely try to make your way into San Francisco (used to live there too).
