It is not a matter of believing him, I really could care less if this was a deal or not. I simply popped in to see why there were 50 posts on it already. But this kind of flamming is not allowed here.

please tell me when you sent in your stuff? I sent my rebate info in about 2 weeks after
black friday to make sure all the (rebate receipt) bull was going to work or not..

I STILL dont see my gf3 rebate on wmr.com .. dang..
should I wait longer? or resubmit?

Man, I keep checking this thread wondering what the commotion is all about...hoping...against all hope of course that someone else has actually found this deal. Trying to ignore it...but if I missed out on this I would kick myself forever!

So I guess I'll just have to keep checking it...

Hey all

Ok, so I got out of my comfy chair and went all the way to vernon hills Best Buy.....$199.99 - $50 rebate.....and out of stock. No luck. But I did get another shirt at Structure! Woohoo! $8.00 for a dress shirt! That's almost as good as $50 for a GF3, right?

Instead of Flaming this post.....I am also waiting for my rebate on this Best Buy scam. Why doesn't everyone go to Planet Feedback and let best buy know how we feel about waiting 4 months for a rotten rebate.
I for one am more pissed off about Best Buy making everyone wait than this obvious typo on a vid card price.
Maybe we should start a thread about linching Best Buy.

Personally, I'm waiting for the GF4 Ti4200. It's supposed to be $199 and will exceed the performance of a GF3 Ti 500, especially in DX8 games. Check out Tom's for a full run-down of the GF4 lineup.

The interesting thing is that the GF3 Ti 500's will need to come down below $199 - probably somewhere between $150 and $200. Who would buy a Ti500 when the GF4 Ti4200 outperforms it?

Damn, typing all these crazy model numbers are making my fingers hurt 🙂

i am still waiting for rebates from the after thanksgiving sale. is that what black friday is? anyway ... i got one check for fifty bucks. i dont know if its from my hd or from the geforce. anyone know how to identify these checks? wmr doesn't have any info on me at all.
 
my GeForce rebate showed up @ wheresmyrebate.com, but where are the 110pk PNY $10 and $15 rebates?!?!?:| i smell scam:|
 
My GeForce rebate was denied...I purchased it from BestBuy.com and it was put on backorder status after I bought it. Called VisionTek and asked why my claim was denied, and they told me that someone there probably looked at the ship date instead of the order date. I had to resubmit to a different address. This may in fact be an isolated incident, but some of you that are still waiting for your rebate, may want to check into this.:|
