VISA for these 3 reasons:
  • My favorite rewards credit card is a VISA, so I don't really have a choice.
  • VISA offers free extended warranty coverage to eligible card holders.
  • Because I fscking said so!

I'm currently using the Citi Dividend Plat Select Visa(thanks to bettercreditcard.com), its my first credit card, any reason why its a mastercard on the site? Which is your favorite rewards credit card?

Thanks, we recently redesigned BetterCreditCard.com 🙂

Mine was grandfathered in as a VISA but I heard Citi is changing all cc's to MC, not sure if/when that will happen. AFAIK all new cc's will be MC.

Citi for the 1-5% cash back

That comes in Visa, MC, and American Express. I have the American Express version.

which amex? don't tell me blue cash...

It is a Citi Bank Amex card. Citi Bank Dividen Platnum American Express Card.

Got a link?

CitiBank and Amex are COMPETITORS. They don't have a "jointly" branded cc - unless I'm missing something?

Are there any real benefits to either one? Is either better domestically versus internationally? Which one is more widely accepted?

visa=mc same no diff, both accepted aT same place

Used a Visa ever since college. As the ads say, it's everywhere I want to be. I have zero interest in any other type of card.

Wow @ the citi amex card

A great card, the protection of Amex and Citi together, with the 5% cash back.

Wow if this is true I'm switching but I'll probably get assigned a new cc number 🙁

You DO NOT need a Citi branch near you.

Apply online or call their 800 number.

I have both, even though I have never seen a place in the States that won't except either one. However, if you plan on traveling abroad, Visa and American Express is the winning combo.

Are those Citi Branches actual banking branches. We have a few near me, just wondering do people bank there.

My MC has never failed me overseas (Europe) but I have seen few places that take AMEX.

Outside of the U.S MC is accepted at the most places.
