I was able to confirm that the number above is the one concerned parents should call and make arrangements through. Do not call Delta. Call the Dean's Office.

Im so worried about when they release names. I thought waiting for a test grade that you know you failed was bad- this is a million times worse. I'm the kind of person that absolutely HATES it when people are depressed and do a lot to cheer them up (Make an idiot of myself etc...)- This is the first time I am worried that I won't be able to. Not only that, I never show emotions (It makes me feel weaker)- I'm equally worried that I might show some sooner or later.

Petty things in the whole scheme of it, but things I don't want to experience.

Thanks for all the sentiment everyone. I'm sure everyone on the VT Campus appreciates all the sentiment from everywhere.

I know two people who go to VT-- one was the fastest runner in my high school and is at VT on a full athletic scholarship for track / x-country. I don't talk to him, but I have some friends who are friends with him and they are worried because he hasn't been online / made contact with them today. I guess we'll all find out tomorrow. Can't even imagine the feeling for those who attend VT.

🙁

my heart goes out to you🙁

I have several friends/acquaintances at Virginia Tech, one which i have known for my entire life. Im glad to say they are all okay, although they are not posters here. All i can say is im sorry for any of those who have lost family/friends, i know my friends did, but thankfully they are ok. I'm going in 2009 to VT and hopefully by then things will have calmed down, they have been through a lot.

Its a shame such a beautiful and friendly place has to keep going through so much. If you are unfamiliar with VT, its probably the nicest place i have ever visited with the most friendly atmosphere conceivable.

My little cousin (she's a junior now) goes to VT and was supposed to go to the class where the initial classroom shootings took place. Apparently she felt ill today, called her mother, and my aunt told her to stay home and just email the teacher to make sure he/she know she'd be missing class. My aunt is right, and she really was supposed to be in the class, thanks to the forces that be for everything. Good luck getting through this VTech.

Someone was watching out for her...thank god she's ok. The corps still hasn't heard from a sophomore and we're assuming the worst.

I hate to ask this, but what do you guys think about classes. I want to mourn but my mind keeps jumping back to my Physics test on Friday. Do you think it will be closed all week, if nothing else, but to mourn for the dead. I'm not trying to get out of the test, and would have gladly failed everything to keep 33 people alive, but I can't help but wonder. I hope you wont think less of me for wondering such a thing 🙁

I am so afraid of what will happen when they release the names tomorrow. There could be people I forgot etc... 🙁

Deepest sympathies to the families of those loved and lost.

I am located in Wilmington, NC but lived in the Roanoke Valley for over 20 years. Had many friends that went to VT, Hard to fathom this happened so close to home.

Are all AT'ers accounted for from that area?

I would still like to here from toant, but I am not even sure if he attends there anymore. His e-mail will not work (VT e-mail addy), so it is possible he doesn't go there anymore or graduated. I believe his named is Toan Tran.

Matt LaPorte was a Sophomore in the Corps. This is gonna hit us pretty hard. I still keep coming close breaking down.

RIP Matt

This is quite surreal. I have no ties to anyone there yet I feel a little sick to my stomach right now.

God bless all of you up there, and all that passed.
