And by 'lies' we of course mean 'things that multiple contemporaneous witnesses to his behavior said were obviously untrue'.

Ted Danson, Dan Aykroyd and Robert Downey Jr have to be sweating bullets. The evidence is all there. Dan Aykroyd is probably most at risk. He has already pissed off the wrong crowd by working on a Ghostbusters sequel that ignores the female Ghostbusters released a couple of years ago.

This whole Northam thing stinks.
And seems a bit fishy to say the least.
EVERYWHERE, all the media are also saying Northam is toast.
That he has no choice but to resign.
All the while, there is no actual tangible proof Northam has done anything wrong.
The photo clearly is not proof of anything.
Nor was imitating Michael Jackson a crime.

And then consider his successor LT Governor Justin Fairfax, a black man.
No doubt many would just love to have Fairfax take the throne as governor.
Sounds like a deal?
Well.... hold on there.
You also have that sexual assault allegation against Justin Fairfax.
So say Fairfax becomes governor, and that allegation turns out to be true.
Then what?
Well, Fairfax resigns. And Virginia holds a special election. And Virginians end up electing a republican as their new governor.
Again, then what?
I tell you what.
Virginia then has a republican governor.
Was it worth it democrats, to have eaten your own only to end up with a republican governor?
Is THAT what you wanted?

Democrats had better think this thru before demanding Northam resign.
As they say, be careful what you wish for. And I doubt any Virginia democrat regardless of skin color wants a republican governor in office.
Still.... IT COULD HAPPEN.
And that would not be the first time democrats pulled off one of those WTF moments.

Fox insisting that if Fairfax become governor with that sex scandal over his head, Fairfox MUST BE treated exactly like Brett Kavanaug was treated.
And Fox still can't figure out why democrats will not cooperate with Donald Trump.

You should realize that some of the period of time over which the preproduction of the move and production of the movie was revealed by the Sony hacked e-mails and these videos address that...

That sequel started off as a passing of the torch sequel in which the most or all of the original cast train a group of new Ghost Busters and was hijacked into the 2016 movie that lost money because it was too expensive. Wasn't what the fans both male and female wanted in the first place. The narrative that it was a bunch of card carrying man-baby members of the woman hating misogynists club doesn't pan out....

The fact is that the trailer failed to impress and while GhostBusters 2016 did decent business it simply had too high a production cost for Sony to consider making a sequel to the 2016 movie.

How does a movie that didn't quite make enough money in release to justify its cost relate to Gov. Northam? oops

Yep. NYT agrees with you. The GOP/alt-right operatives who set this up behind the scenes knew it would create a political firestorm and strain dems and the MSM because of the racial and sexual issues that they cannot tolerate. They would either be forced to remove both men from office or keep them in and acquiesce to racial and sexual accusations. The best thing dems and the MSM can do is dig deeply into both allegations and find the truth.

Remember, "coonman" is a made up nickname supposedly created by a couple of classmates Northam knew in military school where he graduated in 1981. Everyone is assuming it was racially motivated because it has "c**n" in the name but there is no proof. You can't find any reference to that nickname on the internet except related to these recent events.

Remember when conservatives raged and said things will get worse because people weren't accepting Kavanaugh's shit? They really are that petty vengeful and despicable that they saw that as a charge for them to try and make shit up (because no matter how much shit you'd debunk that they were spouting about why the stuff about Kavanaugh were lies, they refused to accept that it was anything other than lies).

It'd be almost amusing how willingly they are to throw out their own credibility, but most of them had absolutely none to begin with.

Maybe just make Tom Perriello governor now and ditch the AG.

I'll bet Northam stays put at this point. Even with this scandal the state is very likely going to elect Dems in the next elections, Northam drubbed Gillespie by 9 points.

But yeah, pretty sad when the first question to be asked for a possible candidate in VA going forward is "Have you dressed up in "blackface"?" Sheesh.

I'm convinced the reason we have such shitty human beings for elected officials is because any reasonable and "good" person simply does not want to deal with the bullshit of people eternally trying to dig up dirt on you as a "HA HA GOTCHA!". So we are stuck with abhorrent human beings that either don't give a shit about their past or are really fucking good at hiding it or lying through it.
