Try going to one that just opened. While the normal Wal-Mart crowd is still milling around the old one, trying to figure out why the doors are locked, the brand new one down the road is empty.

The products on the shelves are unopened. The stinky, obnoxious, retarded people are trying to figure out how to find the new one, despite the sign that says new Wal-Mart is two miles down the road. With a big arrow pointing in the correct direction.

The newly hired staff is still under the misguided impression that they are there to help you. And even if they aren't, the products are actually in the right place. With the labels attached.

If only they would open a new WalMart every day.....
 
I just avoid Wal-Mart altogether. Although, I don't mind going with the family when I am high on Percocet....makes it less horrible.
 
We had a new one open near me. Apparently they imported degenerates to maintain the correct atmosphere, cause I see people there I KNOW don't live anywhere near me. I can walk to it though, so that's nice....
 
When my local Walmart expanded into a supercenter, I was mildly amused that the shelves were filled with signs of "price drop! Was... Now..." despite them still never having ever stocked that item in the store. (And the price of goods varies from Walmart to Walmart, so I don't see how comparing their price to other locations is really relevant.)
 
It must be nice to see a fresh Wal Mart, without your view being obscured by herds of morbidly obese people in sweat pants.
 
Whats up with Cornelius, yesterday, the meat department was covered with plastic from Seafood all the way to Dairy (Seafood -> East (and bacon) OK??
 
A super nice walmart is still inferior to an average Target.
And theres no such thing as a virgin store. As soon as one typical walmart shopper sets foot inside it is immediately spoiled for eternity.

Also, they support illegals.

They had a virgin on rollback for $40 at Wal-mart. :awe: YMMV, as everyone knows "Virgins" are rare.
Not in ATOT though, they are plentiful.

So I went to this one in Reno once because my chains broke. This was 7am in the morning because I was going snowboarding... It was nearly empty. Cleanest WalMart ever and as I walked in there were employees just standing around all like greeters. Not just 1, but it's like in Asia when you walk in to a department store when they open. They just stand around at their station watching you walk in like I'm a VIP guest or something. Best experience ever.

Of course I've also been to the one in Oakland and that was... a nightmare.
 
I'm a walmart virgin.

I've never bought anything there. I'd rather pay more and not contribute to the downfall of mankind.

I've been them when out in the sticks. There like a mix between the old dirty Woolworth's and K-Mart, with more boxes of "food" thrown in.
 
A Super Wally opened about a month ago several miles away. Its really large and appears to carry a lot of Walmart's higher-end brands or products. It has a nice deli, great fish and seafood department, lots of specialty displays with higher-end stuff. The freezer section is massive. The aisles are extra wide, and they have not crowded the main aisles with middling or ad-hoc stacks of discount or clearance items, as can be seen in SKORPI0's photo above.

The other nearest Walmart is about 15 miles in the opposite direction (has been there for at least 10 years), in a city that is about 3+ times the population and has a little better demographics (not hugely better). Its a regular Walmart, very cluttered, stacks of stuff middling the main aisles (thus making them almost too narrow to negotiate on busy days), hugely smaller food section, no deli.

The new Super Walmart was supposed to replace the aforementioned regular Walmart, but the latter city passed an ordinance against 'big box' stores that was specifically (and dishonestly) crafted to block the Super Walmart.

There is something inherently wrong with stepping foot in a Wal-Mart. Yes, I admit to doing so, especially on business trips to small-town America ... but I wouldn't recommend it.
 
Shens. The "Wal-Mart crowd" actually anticipates the opening of a new store and would get there before anyone.

I live in a small town and Wal-Mart put so many of the local stores out of business that Wal-Mart is the only option for many things.
 
Every other time I venture into WalMart I run into somebody I know.
Last time, was some hot black model I knew since junior high. I had a feeling back then she was model material, and I suppose I was right.
 
I've had this pleasure. Truly a great experience. Said Walmart is now just an overpopulated gathering place like the other one across town. Cept this one is only a 5 minute drive from the house. 🙂
 
WTF? I live in a small town and my Walmart is immaculate for the most part. I also never notice these fat, roving herds of slack-jawed Walmart dwellers you speak of.

Good riddance. Our local independent shops and markets have higher prices, less selection, pay high school kiddies or other unskilled workers even worse wages than Walmart, offer no health insurance of any kind (except maybe a 15% employee discount on prescriptions or something), no stock options, no tuition reimbursement, and no opportunity for advancement unless you are related to Mom or Pop (i.e. their kids or grand kids). The only people who really are bettered by Mom and Pop shops are Mom and Pop (and their kids). But, I guess we all fantasize about being Mom and Pop someday, and maybe some of us are expecting to inherit their parent's business someday.

Besides, I've yet to see a shopping plaza containing a Walmart with a single "for lease" sign in the window of the nearby units. Sure, not businesses that compete directly with Walmart, but other businesses (some of whom do compete indirectly) that do very well because of the traffic generated by Walmart (better than the businesses did before the Walmart).

i.e. When Walmart comes into a large shopping plaza, other businesses don't leave for good, they just change.
