Thought maybe you could help me figure this out.
Virgin Mobile added a new $99 phone (currently $85 on sale) and I thought it was going to be a pretty good value
I swear when I first looked at the specs on this phone it was listed as a 1.2 Ghz DUAL CORE processor, but now they list the specs as just "1.2 Ghz Processor" Obviously not nearly as good of a value if it's single core.
Looking at the manufacturer's spec page they don't say anything about single/dual core, however they do list the CPU as a "MSM8630 1.2 GHz"

Looking this up online seems to indicate it's a dual core chip:

However when I asked one of VM's chat representatives enough times they told me it was a single core phone (although I don't believe 100% of everything those reps say)
So just trying to clarify, is it possible they have one core disabled or it's a one core version of that SoC? Obviously there's not a lot of reviews for these bottom of the barrel phones
EDIT: I just checked and found a bunch of previews citing a dual core CPU as well. Is it possible it truly is a dual core and they are just not advertising that anymore?
