Virgin Marys

I love Bloody Marys, even and maybe especially without any alcohol.

Just had a Virgin, she went down like a champ!

My personal recipe is dead simple: Tomato juice, ketchup, horseradish, and Worcestershire sauce.

Ketchup is probably seen as a sacrilege to most, but I like a bit of sweetness.

No lime for me, and salt and pepper just seem superfluous. No tabasco either for me, as the horseradish (I use a BIG dollop) provides just enough heat, while adding it's distinctive flavor.

If I had celery or cucumber they would make a nice garnish/addition, but neither are necessary to me.

Does anyone else like Virgins? 😛

Virgin or not, what's your recipe?

Celery salt on the glass is what really makes it. In a pinch you can take salt and celery seed and throw it in a mortar/pestle.

I liek to toss a pickle in mine. and BM has gotta be spicy.

the best part is that when you're done, the pickle has been soaking up all that bloody mary goodness, and you now get to it.

Olives are good too.

A dash of clam juice makes for a fine BM.

Yeah I like to put geoduck in mine, with a little bit of chicken liver.

Lol, ketchup and horseradish mixed is my ninja/ghetto shrimp cocktail sauce.

cocktail sauce consists of anything other than ketchup and horseradish? maybe a dash of worcestershire?

i make pepper vodka for mine.

using clamato makes it a bloody caesar.

++shrimp hanging on the side

Yeah, worcestershire, maybe some lemon juice, the ubiquitous salt and pepper.

Once you have horseradish, I absolutely don't see the need for pepper, and I avoid adding salt to things I feel don't need it. KISS. <shrug>
