I was watching the news the other day and they had clip of a guy walking into a bar/club and shooting his girlfriend in the face and then himself in the neck. It was on a security tape and wasn't great resolution, but you still saw both people die. This wasn't late night news either, this aired at about 7 pm.
If you can show this sort of violence on TV, then why not nudity? I don't understand why there is such a double standard?
In my opinion footage of someone being murdered in cold blood is just as bad as a hardcore sex scene.
Of course i believe that they final decision on what kids watch is up the parents, but in today's day and age, people can't be expected to manage that responsibility, so it's passed to the FCC...
So why the double standard?
Edit: spelling/grammar
