Pull me your states self defense laws please. I'm not saying your wrong, but you are really stretching the legal limits of deadly force response in self defense situations

I am not going to go try to find statutes that relate to this. I know of one case in particular where a man was maced by a couple of kids and was able to shoot one. It was considered self defense.

I also recall of a case about 10 years ago where some thugs were macing women before beating and robbing them.

I have no doubt that in this particular case (the gentlemen did nothing wrong, was not any sort of threat) that her macing him would warrant him defending himself via force. Add in her promises of beating his ass along with threats from her "boy(s) outside" and it would absolutely be no question.

Switch the races and see how you feel about the incident to find out if you are a racist or not.

Racists are going to support one color by using a double standard every time (then deny it), everybody else knows the individual who maced another person, when there was never any threat or indication of violence, is in the wrong.

Lets just say the fat white woman owes the black guy an apology for macing him point blank in the face, then everybodies happy and the person (not color) gets a fair treatment from the judges.

Yep, SA wouldn't be posting here if the races were reversed.

Well, just for your own sake, you might want to go read the statute for yourself before you start applying 3rd party information to your decision making on whether or not you can start taking people's lives.

If someone maced me for no reason then my life in danger and I will react accordingly - period.

Honestly, that will probably be the first incident ever, so I'm not going to lie, I would be interested to see how that plays in court.

In my opinion, I don't think JUST being maced is enough to think you are in risk of "Serious physical injury".

But just pepper spray alone is "physical injury"...if even that.

You would likely lose your case unless the person "continued to approach me after being sprayed and incapacitated". Then you could say you feared they would disarm you and shoot you with your own weapon.

OR they made clear verbal threats to commit a felony against you, then pepper sprayed you, and it was immediately apparent they could carry out those threats (I.E., a short fat lady isn't going to kick your ass)

If someone walked up and even pointed something like that at me I would shoot them.

If they were able to mace me, and did not IMMEDIATELY turn and run away, I would shoot them.

I don't care if it's a short fat lady or whatever, makes 0 difference. Threaten my life, and I will shoot you.

It's a really simple thing.... I know the thug apologists have a rather difficult time comprehending this.. But you cannot hit "pause" on life to explain you were just joking around with the mace, and this is not high school where a teacher can come break up a fight. If you are an innocent citizen who has done nothing wrong you have every right to defend yourself from an obvious threat.

If you threaten another person's life, be prepared for them to defend themselves with force.

Okay he was a-hole, but then he started lightening up and he said have a sense of humor. From that point she was wrong to mace him. He was not cool, but macing someone is assault. He could have had a allergic reaction. Now I get her frustration, but she took it to far.

How in the world do you 'get' her frustration?

There is 20 solid seconds (at least) where she was standing at the counter while jabbering on the phone, holding up anyone else behind her. At :20 she finally starts trying to figure out what she wants.

I cannot comprehend how anyone can relate with this woman, unless they are rude lowlifes who have temper issues.

Dude give it a break, EVERYONE KNOWS WHY YOU WOULD NOT GET HER FRUSTRATION, lol. But this was a lone woman who was not doing anything wrong and the dude just came up and started harrassing her. Let this had been Trayvon doing the harrassing and Shirley Temple doing the shopping and lets see quickly you change your tune.

Her response was overboard, but the truth is she should have not had to respond at ALL. He should not have started harrassing the woman.

No he shouldn't have, but she shouldn't have been sitting at the counter not doing anything. They're both wrong on different levels and in multiple ways.

Harassed her?? He ignored her.... All he did was tell the clerk what he wanted while she was screwing around on the phone or whatever, hemming and hawing.

Your definition of "harassed" has been made clear in previous situations, but seriously LOL at this one.

He harassed her... Lol! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I agree, but when he walked in, there was no in line but her. I almost always side on the side of a woman in a situation like this. Regardless of any of the particulars, this dude was an ahole, but on this day he ran into someone who was a bigger ahole.

As my parents used to say, no matter how bad you think you are, there is always someone badder.

He should have murdered her in retaliation.

Who does that Negro think she is getting in line and not knowing what she wanted?

Retaliation?? Him shooting her would have nothing to do with retaliation.

He was attacked. He has no responsibility to wait and see just how bad the attack is... Will she pull out a knife and stab him? Kick him while he's down from the mace? Mace him then go get her thug friends like she promised? Continue beating his ass like she promised?

All he did was chuckle at her while she had her little tantrum.

Stop making excuses for that woman's despicable behaviour.

You knows how I roll,, lol

But come on now, seriously dude came in running his mouth, he didn't deserve that, but just goes to show, not everybody is going listen to you talk a bunch of smack.

How can you see this as him running his mouth?

It's amazingly how selective your views are. She clearly was the one who was running her mouth, all he did was laugh at her idiocy.

...But this was a lone woman who was not doing anything wrong...

Except for giving more attention to her phone than the transaction at hand, something all too common today. Oh, and not being ready with a purchase when stepping up to the clerk.

But beardy was way out of line too.
