I always ground myself if I get back into my car, just touch the side of my car before touching the pump again. plus I never wear wool sweaters so I guess I'm safe

Things don't really blow up like in the movies, generally.

Theres plenty of space for pressure to escape out the filler hole. When she pulled the nozzel out, it extinguised the flames(most gas tank filler holes have a little metal flap) inside the tank.. but the tip of the nozzel was still burning.. lol

You beat me to it. Yeah, I was going to say this. I saw this on "MythBusters" (which, btw, rules). Their conclusion was that it isn't much of a problem because most people grab onto their door or other metal that grounds them when they get out of their car, but as you can see, she's wearing wool and doesn't touch anything when she gets out.

Not a bright idea.

Probably just fidgeting.

It's basically impossible to tell because if you watch the timestamp, there are 30 missing seconds. It skips forward to when she gets out.

Great. So it's stupid people like this that force gas stations to get rid of those nice clips on the pump. I love it when I find stations with those as it means I don't have to stand there actually holding the leaver.
