All right either there's hundreds of thousands of vets in a handful of towns with fifty thousand people each, or we got assloads of serious scammers here. I don't mind cuz they aren't stealing from me, but the businesses may be hurting.

Good possibility that there are 1 out of 4 males could be Vets.
Large group in their late 50s & 60s (result of drafts - VN & Korea) and another group in their late 20s & 30s (economic & patriotism - ME conflicts)

We need way more people at the VFW. The Manassas branch only has 50 people and Chantilly has about 100. Only a dozen ever show up to the meetings.
If theres really so many vets around here we should have thousands of members and hundreds appearing every month. WTF?

Or my previous theory people are scamming.

As for me: Got a free breakfast at Denny's, wings at Hooters (which I gave to the poor starving girls), Texas Roadhouse was packed, couldnt get in. Unos didnt have free food, just 20 percent off the total check. Chillis just had tiny chicken appetizers for free, Olive Garden had some darn nice ravioli, and of course free breadsticks till you puke.
Little Caesers had free breadsticks but you gotta pay a lot for the dipping sauce. Couldnt get into Applebees but that could change in a couple hours.
Still thinking about going to Golden Corral, but I hate heading all the way up Sudley road on a friday night, especially because it seems to be that EVERYONE except restaurant workers took the day off.
Didnt have this problem last Veterans day. Must have been mid week.

Overall I did well enough. Decided to spread the love. Got my mom a tree and socks for a friends birthday. Also got some cheap ass soap and lotion for the Hooters chicks. They rubbed their boobies on me.

looks like you took a black friday mentality to veterans day.

Why do you expect for veterans to want to go to VFW meetings?

Overall I had a good day.

Ate some decent free meals, of course I spent 20 bucks on gasoline trying to chase down some of them.

Got my mother a very nice tree at Target for an excellent price. Used an American Express gift card up and now I have something to wrap duct tape around.

Saw all of my favorite girls at Hooters, including several that disappeared for a while. One had a kid and only works rarely (Veterans day being a good time for waitresses), one cut herself and was out for a few weeks. One who just happened to be there to make my day special.

Only saw half a dozen foolish traffic actions and none of them were close enough to hurt me. Managed to avoid any sort of arguments with other shoppers and diners, and didnt get any dirty looks from illegals for going through "their" neighborhoods.

Just let out a nice fart that had been clogging me up all afternoon.

Overall life is good. Only downside is no credit card thanks to Steam being breached, but that was a minor issue. Oh, and I finished Desperate Housewives season 7 and they clearly jumped the shark.
Covering up self defense? Yeah, that makes loads of fucking sense. Show needs to die, now.

Sure if I thought like you.
But I think like me.
I stay home on black friday cuz I dont wanna die for a shitty deal I can beat after Xmas.

manlets are in danger of being trampled by laqueshia when the wal mart gates open and the running of the bulls begins on BF.

scary, indeed to be a manlet on that day.

Im pretty sure that pretending to be a vet is a crime. Theft of valor, or some such.

Only with regards to government benefits. If a private business chooses to honor veterans by giving them goodies, its up to them to decide how to enforce it, if at all.

I should let you know that whatever uniform is in service at any given time IS protected by federal law, and civilians owning or wearing them is illegal.
Thats why in military films the actors are required to deliberately mess up their outfits, usually its just involves mixing the ribbons or something simple.

I once saw a dude demanding for free shit with a USMC cap getting beat down.

Of course I had two buddies from Suicide Charley there that lived that shit. They didn't deliver that beating.
