bump for an update

Dude take it to PM's and let it die for the rest of us. More than likely this was all a trick, a la the Easter Bunny which hopefully still isn't coming for you.

One of my mom's co-workers (a doctor--my mom is a nurse) has been getting random letters in the mail with no return address. Thus far he has gotten three of them.

Number one was a 4 of hearts playing card
second was a 4 cent stamp
Just yesterday was a cut out of the Library from the game "Clue" (it was actually cut out from the game board)

Can anyone connect these? Or is this just some random prank?

I think it is VERY strange...

Whoever it is they are probably Chinese. You see the word 4 in Chinese is pronounced the same as death. Also, the Chinese are superstitious about this number.

how about it is somebody who happens to know that the number 4 sounds the same as death, but he/she isn't Chinese.

anyway i thought the postal service would not mail something if it does not have a return address..

the #4 sounds LIKE death, accept you the worth death is more accentuated than the number four

edit: you all die if you cant solve this riddle

Japanese pronounce 4 as shi and yon as well....

Return addresses are never necessary by the Post Office, they are only used should your letter be non-deliverable. If you would like it merely trashed in that case omission of the return address would facilitate it.

Well damn, its obviously Eric. Try placing a message in the paper, saying "Re: Fours. How can I contact Eric?" or something.

It's obvious, all you have to do is tell the police and then they can trace who put the ad in the paper. Done and done.

and how would they do that? I can walk into any paper to place an ad. As long as I pay cash, there is no trail.

Thanks for posting.
