Whoever it is they are probably Chinese. You see the word 4 in Chinese is pronounced the same as death. Also, the Chinese are superstitious about this number.

how about it is somebody who happens to know that the number 4 sounds the same as death, but he/she isn't Chinese.

anyway i thought the postal service would not mail something if it does not have a return address..

Japanese pronounce 4 as shi and yon as well....

Return addresses are never necessary by the Post Office, they are only used should your letter be non-deliverable. If you would like it merely trashed in that case omission of the return address would facilitate it.

and how would they do that? I can walk into any paper to place an ad. As long as I pay cash, there is no trail.
