Verizon eliminated the ability to transfer unlimited lines long ago.

I upgrade to a note 5 using the best buy method and I'm good to go until 10/17/17. Will I be able to extend my contract on 10/17/17 for another two years before my current contract expires using the BB method? There is a one day overlap between the contract expiration date and the upgrade eligibility date. It would be neat to have indefinite unlimited wireless data :)

You sure? I haven't heard them stopping anyone?

I sold my line about a year and a half ago for $400.

Year and half is a long time bro.

My brother in law was going to do it a couple months ago...no dice.

Might be possible. I did it many years ago with Sprint. Transfer of liability or something like that.

Well I'm not worried about transferring the data plan. I am ceding the fight as I realize there is no way to keep unlimited data on Verizon forever. Especially because I can't stay on my folks' share plan forever, and definitely can't keep the 700 shared minutes and paid text plans.

I'm curious if I can get a new phone with contract pricing, and then transfer that phone number and phone to my employer's plan on Verizon without incurring any ETF fees or whatnot.

NutBucket's reply sounds familiar: I think my coworker said it would be a transfer of liability.

I've been looking for the notice on VZ's site, but I haven't found it. Hmm. I think mine was supposed to change the next cycle (starts in a few days).

Supposed to be notified mid November. I already sold my account & went to Cricket. My Note 3 worked with no problem, getting LTE.

I finally cancelled mine, they kept offering me perks, they must be having more than average subscriber churn lately.

Between the free audio and video streaming on TMobile, I don't need VZ any more.

There are no unlimited 4G plans in India.

The pricing varies from:

USD 4 for 1GB
To
USD 45 for 20GB

Keep in mind that the purchasing power in India is much much less than USA.

Most people don't spend more than USD 5-10 per month on their total mobile Bill, all inclusive.

And those who form the cream rarely spend over USD 15-50 per month all inclusive. Often including International Calls and National Roaming.

In fact you can get a plan with:

Unlimited Local, National, Roaming Calls
Unlimited SMS
Unlimited Incoming/Outgoing (International Calls charged extra)
Free Music
Free Movies
7GB 4G data

All for just about USD 30 per month.

But when you convert this Acc to PPP it is about USD 120-150 per month in US terms.
