man this is a really sweet phone from what i can tell...anyone know the requirements to start up a new plan? My credit isnt the best (had a card go to collections....YIKES) so i know that makes it really hard. I was already turned down by tmobile to get my old phone turned back on. im willing to save the 400$ down payment it would likely take....

anyone hear anything bad about this phone?

Wait about 2 months when it is $99, that happens with all Verizon phones.

hell no
verizon nerfs the interface so its geared to selling and playing their sh*tty drmed 2 dollar songs off their vcast store. its about as retarded as it can get for a media player. so clearly set up to sell their content. its playback features are mediocre because they clearly care about nothing else. they probably nerfed bluetooth data transfers like on their other phones i bet.

Actually I didn't know this, and I agree, any phone without a memory slot (especially with Verizon which to make any phone memory changes you have to hack with something like BitPim) is not worth buying.

However.. he got his from ebay (non-verizon)... so maybe that's why?

yea i have microsd with my vx8300😛 not sure i like it, very tiny, most too tiny to be practical. i have a messy desk and it popped outa my fumbly fingers and bounced around my stuff, i almost thought i'd never find the little pos again😛

and yea bitpm, u'll probably have to use that since verizon likes to nerf bluetooth. they dont want u to make/upload your own ring tones and such things for free u know. its VCAST VCAST VCAST!!! they like trying to stick their hand in ur wallet.

Well that sucks.. I got excited for a second because if the LG unlocked (non-verizon) had a memory slot I would have bought one.

The Razor from Verizon also has a memory slot. The one from Cingular doesn't (this was the case a few months ago don't know about now).

Verizon also has the Q .. :-\
