This is just a heads up for anyone building this combo that might have the same initial problems I did. Purchased mine from Newegg Nov 1 05.

1st XP Pro install - disabled Epox Firewall software, installed Nforce drivers off disk, Symantec FW & AV, latest Nvidia Vid Drivers. Seemed to run well but games were crashing. Epox website down and I didn't know where else to get newest mobo drivers. Tried installing SP 2, resulted in infinite Blue Screen reboot sequence. yeah.

2nd XP Pro install - forgot to disable Epox Firewall software, installed Nforce drivers off disk, Symantec FW & AV, latest Nvidia Vid Drivers. Games won't even install without blue screen reboot.

3rd XP Pro install - I read that the IDE drivers and FW software can hose things up so I disable them. Installed Symantec FW & AV, latest Nvidia Vid Drivers. Finally a light bulb goes off in my head that I should be using Nvidia's nforce drivers anyway. I install everything (including IDE this time) but Firewall.

Now things are running fine. I did receive one error message telling me I might have registry errors, but it looked like spyware because it brought me to a sight that sells registry cleaning software. Anyone else get that and/or knows where it came from?

By the way, all the SATA stuff worked fine right out of the box, just like IDE.

I hope this may help someone.
