Hi All,
I just got a new Venice 3800+ today, it is replacing my winne 3500+ that is going to my sister. I installed the new processors in my DFI LanParty UT board .. and it got into windows .. got into the desktop .. then just rebooted. Did this 3 times. So I started looking on the dfi-street site.
Someone had a similar problem, and changed the DRAM Drive to 3. Which I did and it booted into windows no problem. Then I started playing Guild Wars, and about 20 minutes into it the game froze, and then my machine rebooted. When windows came back up, I looked in the error log and say the nv display driver got caught in a loop. I booted up Guild Wars again, and about another 15 minutes into the game .. it just rebooted my machine, no lockup this time.
I am completly at a loss for what could be happening. I'll post my specs here:
DFI LanParty UT nForce4 (3/10 bios)
Amd 64 3800+ (Venice)
Corsair XMS 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 (C2PT) Monarch Link
If anyone has any ideas or help, it would mean alot. Thanks!
Terry
