I suspect the lead plaintiff is associated with the attorneys filing the suit.

Given how typical cards are usually stacked in a companies' favor, actions like these serve as a counterbalance to that inherent imbalance.

actions like this make attorneys and others look like idiots, and waste taxpayer money and the justice systems time.

Sounds like a slam-dunk case to me. It doesn't included calling your teenager over to eat.

You do know that the attorney billed consumed at least few hours of his time(so if it was billed by hours, it's few thousand dollars of mental labor) and used his very education in the subject to file this suit. Being the money-hungry pigs they often are, they are not inclined to put in the effort unless there is a logical basis in law to attempt a case. Especially since this is federal court, where there is no hand-holding compared to the District/People's/etc state courts.

Other lawsuits have originated in California and New York.

Attorneys are simply applying the laws that exist on the books, and they get enforced through the courts. And depending on the leaning of the judges, they seem more than willing to allow it to go through or have it dismissed.

Compared with your lay understanding vs the qualifications of the attorney, it is clear that the attorney is no simpleton or fool when engaging in a course of action.

The Wright Law Office specializes in the nationwide prosecution of claims to recover damages for investors and consumers and is committed to correcting corporate wrongdoing. We enforce the rights of consumers, insurance policy holders, homeowners, small businesses and investors in arbitration forums and state/federal courts throughout the country. The Wright Law Office is devoted to helping the consumer and investor. The firm, managed by William C. Wright, is dedicated to recovering investment losses and consumer class-actions. Mr. Wright has over 20 years of experience prosecuting cases for investors and consumers. Before founding the firm, Mr. Wright practiced at one of the leading plaintiffs’ class-action firms in the United States, handling dozens of multi-million dollar cases. Prior to his career as a consumer advocate, Mr. Wright worked at NASA and served as associate in-house counsel with United Space Alliance, a multi-billion dollar aerospace company charged with handling all space shuttle operations.
The firm has experience in dozens of high-profile investor and consumer lawsuits of national scope, where settlements of hundreds of millions of dollars have been reached. Mr. Wright was involved in numerous nationwide class-action cases brought by dissatisfied policyholders against life insurance companies seeking redress for deceptive sales practices involving insurance products during the 1980's and 1990's. Mr. Wright has also represented African-American policyholders in proceedings against life insurance companies seeking redress for racial discrimination in the sale of life insurance policies. Additionally, Mr. Wright has been heavily involved in numerous other lawsuits in the telecommunications, pharmaceutical, automotive, and food labeling industries for deceptive business practices. The Wright Law Office was named lead counsel in a nationwide consumer class action against one of the leading baby formula manufacturers.
One of the firm's primary practice areas is recovering investment losses. The Wright Law Office handles cases involving stockbroker or financial advisor misconduct involving investment losses due to unsuitable investing, variable-annuity investment scams, stock churning, excessive trades, margin-trading violations, pyramid schemes and other investment frauds.
The firm also prosecutes shareholder derivative actions. Mismanagement is rampant among today's publicly-traded companies. In a shareholder derivative action, current shareholders can "stand in the shoes" of the company and take action against the officers and directors responsible for mismanagement of the company. This is the usual manner in which to bring justice to aggrieved shareholders for the failures of directors or officers that have harmed the company, and to accomplish corporate governance to rectify that mismanagement.

In order to be "cheese food" wouldn't the product in question need to actually contain some real cheese? (as opposed to "Cheeze" lol)

I am sure they have cheese, but quality and quantity is the great unknown. I mean it even has whey, a byproduct of cheese making.

Re: frivolous lawsuits, you gotta love how people are so willing take a wrecking ball to the system for personal gain.

Re: cheese food, I propose "cheese food-like substance."
