"Vegetarian clarity" - psychosomatic?

On friday my doc noted that my blood pressure has shot up (starting school, I'm stressed), so I've taken the perhaps over kill decision to go 80% vegetarian (I'll still eat fish and also chicken if it's the only option).

I've had nothing but vegetables since Friday and woke up today with this clarity I've never experienced. Am I just imagining things? It's only been 2 days after all? Or could I have been eating so much saturated fats and crap that my brain's been fried for years and I just never knew it? I do have ADHD but haven't treated it in years because I dislike what stimulants do to me.
 
Certain foods give me brain fog & ADD. Cleaning out my diet removed the grogginess for sure.
 
Your blood pressure shot up, as in it was high that day at the doctor's office? Or there's been an upward trend across multiple measurements?

Saturated fats are good for the brain, study after study has shown this. Saturated fats (which are acids like Omega 3) are healthy and good for you.

More likely than not the absence of starch, sucrose and fructose are why you are feeling clear headed. Many people have reported this after removing it from their diets.

If he started ingesting large amounts of veggies then his vitamin K likely shot up, thickening his blood which can cause your blood pressure to rise.

I am not a doctor - just a hypothesis.
 
The higher amounts of sulfur, magnesium and vitamin K become major calcium regulators in human tissue. Over time eating leafy greens reverses the degenerative process calcium hardening arterial tissue and softening osseous tissue. This is similar to how cleaners can decalcify that drinking glass from the effects of hard water, making it crystal clear.

Maybe I'm misreading your post, but Omega 3's are not saturated fats. Omega 3's and 6's are mono- and poly-unsaturated fats.

I felt great after going vegan (4 years ago), but it likely had a lot more to do with taking crap out of my diet, rather than meat.

EDIT: OP, a better word for your diet might be "pescatarian". Regardless of what meat you choose to eat, though, cutting out processed foods will do you a lot of good.

Interestingly, if you look at how much calcium we are supposed to consume (1000mg per day), I think most of us get nowhere near that.

One cup of whole milk has something like 250mg of Calcium - one quarter of our daily requirement. You would need to drink the equivalent of 4 cups per day just to meet the minimum, nevermind if you are a growing teenager or something.
