vegetable-oil cooled computer

An old friend of mine is using vegetable oil in his water cooling setup, or should i say, oil-cooling setup.

Weird, but whatever works i guess...

I think I've seen this before, I remember that scene from Ghostbusters 2 where that guy goes, "Why am I dripping with goo..." when I see those pics 😀

It looked to me like there was still a fan on the CPU heatsink. Umm, I don't think that's gonna work underwa-err, under oil.

gotta be careful though, if the whole thing gets too hot your system will burst into flames

But, while you are waiting for boot up, you can deep-fry some cheese sticks or shrimp!

😀

I've seen posted here a submerged computer in an oil-based coolant, with LiqNi on the CPU. They OC'd an FX-55 to about 3.8 iirc. Pretty cool stuff iyam.
