yes I know it does not stay at 1300 or whatever else its set at for 3DMark as that bench varies the load on your pc.

now you are getting a higher graphics score than I can at those same settings. will you disable HT and run the bench again at those same clocks you just did?

His PCI-E 3.0 bandwidth is probably making the difference.

No, it was my 1156 system, so it wasn't PCI-e 3.0. Might have been that I was running 3dMark11 stretched rather than centered. I will test it out later tonight, when it's not 91F outside!
oh the reason was 100% that it was stretched.

honestly the 670 is NOT changing my gameplay experience in many games. even though my averages have gone way up, the same spots that slowed down my gtx570 still slow down my gtx670 too. for GTA4, its the cpu that is 100% the limitation keeping me from staying anywhere near 60 fps. in other games such as Metro 2033 and Just Cause 2, it is still too demanding in spots to stay at 60fps. it will drop into the mid to low 50s for Just Cause 2 and for Metro 2033 it will even drop into mid 40s. and that is NOT even maxed for those games as I do not even have tessalation, dof, physx or 4x MSAA on in Metro 2033. dropping the res to 1280x720 is the only way to stay at 60 fps in that game and again thats not even close to max. and Batman AC is still a stuttery mess in DX11 especially if trying to use physx. even in DX9 there is still some hitching when flying around even though my card is technically 40% faster in this game. really I think all I did was waste my money for the most part...
