Vacuums

They all suck. Seriously!

That point aside, I think any of the bagless variety with a HEPA filter is good enough. As cheap as they are, they're almost dispensable like the bags of the old vacuums.

Dyson is the only vacuum you should by. It really is that good. Plus it never loses suction!

Honestly that's what I've heard too. They are mega expensive but they're supposed to be awesome (~$500).

That's cheap for a good vacuum. My old canister vac costs 2000. Dyson can run circles around that thing.

-edit-
I picked a dyson up for 400. There was a 20% off coupon from bed bath and beyond.

consumer reports disagrees, it doesn't matter if a dyson doesn't lose suction because apparently the suction isn't so great in the first place. by the time a good vacumn loses enough suction to match dyson its probably full😛

spend that extra dyson money on your woman and you'll be rewarded with a better kind of suction😉

I went ahead and got a really expensive Eureka (with bag).
Bagless is a lie.
You still need a bag, its just more messy to dump it in your trash.

I like my Eureka. Does everything I need.

Yeah but you don't need to BUY special bags for it. A free plastic shopping bag works fine.

No.
It doesnt.
It takes a lot of effort not to makes a big mess and usually does anyway.
Heck the reason we use bags is so we arent taking handfulls of trash out to the dumpster 10 times a day. There is nothing wrong with using vacuum bags too.
And dont get on me about the cost. Vacuum bags are dirt cheap.
(HAH! I made a funny, almost.)

I did alot of research on vacuums a while back. I absolutely did not want to buy a Dyson because of the cost and how trendy it is. I researched the Hoover at Walmart thats supposed to be just like the Dyson. I researched Rainbows and Roombas. In the end, I came back to Dyson for one main reason: you should never need to buy any supplies for it...ever. Every other vacuum I was interested in either didn't have a HEPA filter or had one that needed to be replaced. And with the Dyson, you can just wash it off occasionally. There were other factors to the decision but that was the one thing that noone other than Dyson had.

If you get one, get it from LNT with a 20% off coupon.

I looooove my Dyson, and I have two cats. The Oreck was a total waste of money - I'll never buy another. The Hoover needed new belts every other month.

I got a refurbed Kirby off ebay about 6 months ago for about $200. I will never own any other kind of vacuum again.

supplies are incredibly cheap especially with bags at walmart where arm and hammer makes the bags now. even after many years of use you won't match the price of a dyson by buying supplies. at 5 bucks of bags a year or so theres no way to care about that kind of thing.
