Gifford's shooter obsessed with gold currency ideals
It's Beck and Levin that have hawking Gold the most.
Gifford's shooter obsessed with gold currency ideals
I've read his stuff and seen his videos.
He's schizophrenic, and in the early stages.
I know the signs, I watched my brother descend into this hell back in the 80s.
This has nothing to do with right or left, liberal or conservative. The guy is mentally ill. Period. Nothing incited this but his own illness.
The way partisans are acting over this is simply disgusting. Face it, the arguments are all in an effort to prove your ideology is correct. How sad that you take such a tragic incident and twist it to validate your ideologies.
It's Beck and Levin that have hawking Gold the most.
What happened to you brother Amused? Okay? I got a brother that's nutso too takes lithium and all sorts of stuff. I think he's about 34 and been drawing SS for crazy since forever. He'd do stuff like load up shotgun shells on reloading press with toilet paper and shoot us as we walked in the door and much worse as he became an adult. I'da killed him if legal and done society a favor. But alas society continues to suffer.
Pathetically, even the progressive talk show personalities, even Thom Hartman, are hawking gold. I have a feeling the outfits they are pushing are actually legit at least.
As usual with events like this, it turns out that crazy people who do things like shoot up a crowd at a political get together ALSO do a lot more normal things as well. If the shooter enjoys Chinese food or baseball, I don't think that reflects poorly on those things.
Honestly I'm pretty disgusted by the way people are trying to turn this into a political game...and that goes for both sides. Not everything needs to be played for political advantage, particularly when it's something we can probably all agree on. Except everyone's so deep into the "game" that I think they forget there are things beyond politics.
Look, I think the idea that we need to go back to the "gold standard" shows a pretty remarkable lack of understanding of modern economics, but I don't think it's a reasonable explanation for why someone would shoot a political figure.
I think you'd see pretty strong correlation in people that subscribe to fed taking our money / gold standard / 911 conspiracy nonsense and paranoid/shizoid disorders. Schizophrenia does seem to have an empirical link to violence...

lol That's nothing Hitler believed in welfare.
Yes, this is not PC but a lot of people over the years have said the same thing sine the 1980s.
I wonder if you could have given a flash mental exam to all these teabaggers how many a showing signs of schizophrenia or dementia to be attracted to such paranoid delusions on the tv/radio, or how far people pushed can go borderline. The whole "conservative" headtrip came about from Reagan and his wild delusions. Is the conservative ideology the ramblings of a dementia ridden old man and the receptive schizophrenics? Once a lot of people follow something people assume it must make sense.
The small govt/deregulation without any rules of the road bit in reality is a nightmare when put into action. Reagan was not that dumb as a politician to have such a immature view after such a long career.
The whole conservative revolution is like some paranoid crazy scrawl on the dudes youtube about the government with fundie Christians thrown into the mix to really make it really sociopathic on so many levels.
This would explains a lot of conservatives cult like mentality from talk radio/foxnews and complete detachment (and being paranoid if someone "outside" questions.) from half the population when it comes to a common reality.
So there is my case for why Conservatism is a mental disorder. 😉
Hitler loved dogs, Stalin had a cat! omg everyone...with pets...is a commiesocialistnazi!

I think you're suffering from some sort of disorder yourself, one that somehow makes socialism and communism seem possible.Yes, this is not PC but a lot of people over the years have said the same thing sine the 1980s.

The argument against central banking and fiat money go a lot further than "the fed is stealing our money." Sorry, but you can't make a complex argument so simple just so you can tie it to yesterday's tragedy.
The kid was the one railing against the FED and fiat currency, not me. I'm merely making an observation that supporters of that stuff generally subscribe to other conspiracy theories as well.
