USTA Flex League

I have just started getting into tennis. My work hours dont let me be part of a regular league team, so I was looking at the flex league, where you can play on your own schedule. Does anybody here have any experience playing in one? How does the umpiring work? Also do we have to get our own balls or will USTA provide them?
