notfred, I do not care what words you use to describe something in a negative manner.

It's a free country, use whatever words you want. You have a right to be ignorant.

Ignorant of what?

Ignorant of kindness and respect.

Not ignorant, maybe I'm not generous with them, but I'm not ignorant of the concepts.

Neither words describe anything..it's like using the words "stuff" and "things". Surely you didn't come here planning to change how we talk, did you?

-=bmacd=-

THe words "awesome", "crap", etc. don't refer to people.

"Gay" refers to people.

"Gay" refers to people.

"Julie has awesome legs, That guy's face looks like crap, and Kia makes some really gay cars."

Tell me which of the three words you posted refer to people in the preceeding sentance.

The word "gay", used in that form, has nothing to do with homosexuality. Look at the term "sucks". Now, i don'tknow the actual origin of that, but one that I can come up with is "that sucks d!ck" or something similar, AKA that's gay. When you say something sucks, are you being detrimental to gays? Of course not.

They could just mean happy. ?and Kia makes some really [happy] cars." But the word is used to insinuate that something is bad because it is now being associated with homosexuals.

Actually, using "lovely human" like that sounds pretty gay, I don't think I'll try it again.

Most of the little PC liberals that hang around here don't even have a clue what being open minded is all about nor do they seem to understand what makes someone a bigot. If I'm a bigot why did I sit and talk with a gay guy at lunch today? I like the guy...he is rather funny...but I don't agree with his sexual preferences. Learn what a bigot is before you use the term. I like the way the close minded liberals around here always try to label people.....in response to them labeling people.....kind of ironic?
