my original username was amnesiac. Had this name years before radiohead came out with the album of the same name.
When the forum switched software my account got messed up so I reincarnated myself..hence amnesiac 2.0...
I go by amnesiacV2 on places where I can't have spaces in my username.

I was origionally datalink on this forum, but forgot the password. So I became datalink7. That is the only reason for the 7.

As for datalink, I got it from the game Alpha Centauri (one of my favorite games of all time). A lot of the quotes in that game were from the "datalink's" or "datalink archives." I thought it was a cool name.

So, are you going to quit at 1000 posts?

Hehehe ... do the math!
At that 0.3 posts a day rate, he'll only have to worry about this in 2009!!

I chose Platinum because i've always been partial to paladin characters and platinum seemed to go well with paladin's. unfortunately platinum was already taken so i added the gold. PlatinumGold. :)

my nick used to be DanTheManWithTheMasterPlan...
aha some people liked it ...some didn't...regardless i had to change it cuz it was messing up the forum formatting...hence...now i have dantmwtmp...mods changed it for me..

how did i get this name? well, first, i had kingofmasturbation for my original AT name, but mods changed that to danno234 and that looked wierd...so i signed up using a different email...to danthemanwiththemasterplan....cuz my friends kept on calling me that....i thought it'd be a cool name....so i used it

but rather boring eh?

ive loved the hobbit since i was 8, and probably read the lord of the rings when i was 11, and just loved the character of Sauron. he's not directly written into any of the books (some dialogue in sections of The Silmarillion...but , bah)

but he was just so powerful and feared that just the mention of his name was something that didnt happen frequently, and i liked that

so, i get icq a few years ago, sign on as Sauron....theres dozens, likely more, only one xSauronx
i aggravated people in random chat alot, harassed em, most everyone hated it, and according to Tolkien, the name Sauron means "the abhorred"

so, i liked it, the character, and thought it fit, been usin it since....well since icq numbers were only 7 digits :) so its been a few years

Mine was an old catch-phrase a couple friends and I made up back in the elementary school days (or at least we had thought we made it up at the time). It kind of stuck with me through the years even though I had stopped using it. Then when I started using the net back in 1995 or so, I couldn't think of anything in particular for an AOL screen name, so I went with the tried and true Bullhonkie. I've used that as my handle ever since and it has served me well since it's pretty unique.

My nickname. Took all of 30 seconds to come up with in 6th grade.

Being on top of that list I guess I'll answer too :p

I used to post as 'Skyclad' on a Dutch forum, it being the name of my favorite band at that time.
At one point someone said it would be fun to 'invade' ATOT as aliens, and to distinguish us we'd all have the alien avatar, and put '1uhm1' behind our names.
The Off-Topic part on the other forum was slowing it down so much (and there were a lot of racists in the end), that the computer magazine who's site it was decided to close that part down.
As I had already posted once in a while here, and was looking for another place, I frequented this place a bit more, and kinda seem to have gotten stuck here

:p

um.... Skyclad1uhm1....I always thought that was your name because you were nude! (as in the traditional meaning of "skyclad")

The band chose that name cause their lyrics and thoughts were 'nude', as in: They said what they really meant, criticized anything they thought of as wrong, they never let anyone censor them. This caused them to get kicked out by at least 2 record companies, the first cause they released a song criticizing the music industry, the second cause they refused to cooperate to a 'Best of' album as they didn't want the real fans to have to buy a new album for the full price just cause it contained one new song.

I found it quite suitable as a nick for me, as I tend to say what I mean too.

But if it makes you feel better, feel free to fantasize about a naked geek with hands that are good at massaging sitting here posting on ATOT ;)

Edit: For Skyclad lyrics try this site. (Or their official site, Darklyrics contains lyrics send in by fans, and those may have typos in them.) (Bah, can't find where they moved the lyrics to on their official site)

Thanks to everyone for the explanation, as I sometimes wondered about some nicks here.

"I'm a fvckin beast."

Really? Interesting! LMAO. And keeping my lips sealed. . . . :D
