Oh I don't know when I hear mechanic I think of some burley-smart-analytical-can listen and diagnose- guy.

When I hear Automotive Technician I think of some young geek working behind the counter at your local tire shop.

You got it bass ackwards;

I am an old non burley geeky greaseball who thinks he knows everything about autombiles ;)

Haircut is a nickname I've had since I was 11.
I always used to have a huge crappy bowl haircut when I was a kid and then one day I came into school with a flat top and the nickname started from there.

No one calls me it anymore, but I used it for my name when I first signed up for AGN back in 98 sometime and now it is just my internet name.

Rodger:
glad to see another wrench turner here :) I enjoy working on cars, cause it feels so good when you stop! ( 26 years exp, been running my own shop since 1988).

Also, my nickname comes from my 2nd business: I produce polyurethane figure model kits- Black Star Models

Once, in an IRC channel for Horizons (that vaporware MMORPG), someone said it would be cool to be a jellomancer. I took it and ran. I don't use it for AIM anymore, but I figure I should maintain some consistency on messageboards and IRC.

I used to post as 'Skyclad' on a Dutch forum, it being the name of my favorite band at that time.
At one point someone said it would be fun to 'invade' ATOT as aliens, and to distinguish us we'd all have the alien avatar, and put '1uhm1' behind our names.
The Off-Topic part on the other forum was slowing it down so much (and there were a lot of racists in the end), that the computer magazine who's site it was decided to close that part down.
As I had already posted once in a while here, and was looking for another place, I frequented this place a bit more, and kinda seem to have gotten stuck here

:p

um.... Skyclad1uhm1....I always thought that was your name because you were nude! (as in the traditional meaning of "skyclad")

s-l-y-c-a-t

S.L.Y.C. are my real actual initials of my full name. So i added "AT" behind them and ended up with SLYCAT
I've had 'slycat' for over 10years since the black & white days of irc on 14.4 dialup.

SuperCommando isn't what I usually use for my name, but Supermercado was taken, I believe. That's what I actually use most of the time. That came from one of the 2 Skinnee J's album titles. One night during my old Counter-Strike clan practice, a new team member accidentally called me SuperCommando and when I decided to register here and found the name I wanted taken, I decided to go with SuperCommando.

rurouni kenshin much? :D

zugzwang is a slang-ish chess term describing a position in which you or your opponent cannot make any moves that he can avoid losing the game. Basically, if you're in zugzwang, you're phucked, you're gonna lose quickly after your move, but you gotta move somewhere anyway. 152 was my wrestling weight in high school...i'm quite heavier than that now :|

Swag - shortened from Jawaswag (my first internet name) which was a starwars reference.
1138 - numbers from THX-1138, George Lucas first movie.

The first place I ever encountered where I couldnt get Jawaswag, I changed it to JSwag1138. Later dropped the J.

My name is from the Rupert Jee HelloDeli in New York, right next to the Ed Sullivan Theater. When I went to see Dave, I stopped in and had a really good Pastrami on Rye:D
