you're dumb.

Well, that narrows it down to a Neon, Kia, or Suzuki.....

Hey there! My 2001 Kia came with Cruise Control, which by the way is very invaluable when you are driving long stretches across the country.

No... you just think you do.... meanwhile you are pissing the people, who use control, off. :D

You are an idiot.

Anyhoo, I hate those people that match speed with the people next to them thus blocking all attemps to pass either. So what ever you do, DO NOT STAY AT THE SAME SPEED, EVAR.

manuals can have cruise control of course it won't shift gears. But its funny turning CC on while at 4.5k rpm in a low gear.

I rarely use cruise control unless it's a long relatively straight road with little traffic. But I do agree that even without cruise control, people should learn to maintain their speed rather than to slow down, speed up, slow down... etc...

Apparently, nobody in the entire Earth has heard of this invention.

The only people who don't HAVE to use it, are the people in the complete left lane of the highway. Everyone else should use their freakin cruise control.

THere is nothing that pisses me off more than cruising along at a set speed, then someone cuts out in front of me and slows down.... then when I pass at my maintained speed, they speed up..... STAY AT THE SAME SPEED! (#@$(@#*$^!@(!!!!

Hey, yo, I have a standard and it doesnt come with cruise control, suck it up.

Or toyota, or Honda. My Honda has it, but I only use it on long trips. When I first started driving my dad wouldn't let me use it at all, even on long trips it just makes you lazy, and eventually you will try to use it in traffic, then you are going to be SOL when you rear end someone at 60-80mph

No, I have things called Accell and Decell that speed me up and slow me down. This amazing invention is in my 1992 HONDA CIVIC (ECONOMY CAR).
I find it extremely hard to believe that cruise control is an option on newer cars...

I am the person that sits in the left lane, passing everyone else. I hate it when someone pops out in the left lane and slows way the fsck down, then I go to pass them and they speed back up. I almost always have my cruise set on the highway (between 75-80). If someone comes up behind me, I get over.

Ok.... this is turning into another type of traffic rant....

STAY AT THE SAME SPEED!

Explain this to me. Why should they not be allowed to pull out and pass someone in their lane who is going slow. If they stay in their lane, they are inconvenienced, if they pull out to pass, you are inconvenienced. as long as they are going AT OR ABOVE the speedlimit, you should sit down and STFU you inconsiderate whiney bitch.

Excuse me sir but you are a retard. Neither of those cars are ment for cruising. Also DODGE makes the Viper and it is only about $85K.

BTW-How the bleep did you code your links, its horible.

That wasn't the point.

I was just proving to edro that not every vehicle made today has cruise control, and price doesn't factor into whether or not they have it. I just grabbed the price from the link, WHICH IS IN CANADIAN DOLLARS Mr. Smarty Pants.

Hahaha.... I love making controversial threads.... :D

This rant sucks.
You suck.
you're dumb.
Therefore, you should buy a car that incorporates this fine invention.
In my 8 yrs of driving, I have used cruise control like 2 times, BTW, as mentioned, this rant sucks
My vote is that he is one lazy ass mother fvcker.
hrmmm....this rant backfired.

Then why quote a US price for one and not the other? Thats just dumb, plus you still didn't fix the Chevy thing.

And maybe you did the lnks right but they didn't quote correctly the 8 times I tried.

I totally agree. Cruis Control os standard on just about every car out there. WHoever bought a 2003 car and didn't get it, you a re a MORON DUMB*SS.

I use my CC even if I'm just in a 25MPH zone. It saves gas mileage, I don't have to concentrate on the speed I'm going, so it's also a safety device. Only time not to use it is in heavy traffic or when there's lots of stop signs/lights in an area.

At first glance this seems like a great idea. But, on consideration, does not this make my speed depentent on the clown in front of me? That is why I use cruise, to decouple myself from the crowd. I have observed that many drivers seem totally incabable of setting their speed and sticking to it. Many seem to rush ahead irregarless of the speed limith until they find someone to tailgate then they hang on to the bumber of the leading car until something forces them to pass, then they rush off in search of someone else to tailgate.

I have also observed that cars travel in packs, perhaps started at stop lights, perhaps started by slower cars and a slow passer. What ever my goal is to set a speed such that I spend as much time as possible between packs. Thus I do NOT want my speed determined by the clown in front of me. That will simply draw me into a pack.

My daily commute is about 15mi on a nice flat 4 lane unlimited acess road (ie it has driveways etc) The speed limit is 55mph. I set my cruise on 60, and stay in the right lane, unless I need to pass. If the left lane is clear,(as it often is at my non rush hour commute times) I do a creep pass, that is leave it in cruise and take as long as it takes to pass, If someone else is comming up, I step on the gas and get arround.

I am with the original poster, in that if you have cruise and conditions are right, use it. Otherwise (on freeway like roads) attempt to hold a constant speed and leave lots of room.

So you're one of those drivers who uses the left lane as the driving lane? Sounds like material for a new rant thread!

I almost only drive in real heavy traffic... (school in morning, work after), so I am almost always in the left lane... but that is because NO ONE is behind me going faster! If there is, I move out of their way.

What about the fact that people using cruise control and not paying attention slow down going up hills. Then the people behind them without CC are being slowed down by you. And if your not paying attention downhill, you speed. Seems like a person with CC would have to pay as much or more attention to his speed.
