USA Pc Components

Hi, I'm in the USA at present on an extended vacation, noticing the prices of components are far cheaper over here I was wondering if I would have any problems buying a few items over here and installing them in a UK machine. I'm thinking an Epox 8RDA+ M/b, Barton 2500 CPU, and maybe a Radeon 9600 Pro, this would save me about 150 dollars.
I'm guessing the Airport machines wouldn't give me a problem as people put there Laptops through all the time and the power supply takes care of any voltage issues.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums, ScotBoy. 🙂 There shouldn't be any problem running US hardware on a UK machine. It's just identical hardware sold on 2 different sides of the pond. 🙂 I don't know much about airport security, so I can't help you there.

I don't think you'll encounter any problems. Since you are not purchasing a PSU (110v/230v business), your components should do fine! If there's a reason for concern, it would probably be hard disk drives. But since notebooks are routinely scanned.. and I haven't heard any scrambled HDDs.. it should be OK !
