The US got the SDF to back out of defensible positions that would have helped protect them from a Turkish assault with the pledge of US protection. Trump has now taken that pullback and gifted it to Erdogan/Putin by abandoning the SDF and our promises. Payment in full for all the Kurdish help against ISIS is getting totally fucked over.

Treachery is too mild a term for what he's done. This is likely to be one of the more infamous foreign policy reversals of the last 40 plus years. Also the credibility of us diplomatic and military channels is shot and yet another example in why Trump can't be trusted thus why nobody should deal with him.
