Get ready to see a lot more of it in the coming years. Canada is going downhill fast with 3rd world immigrants. Hopefully we'll clean house at some point but we are going to have to follow the lead of other nato countrys. It's happening fast though, not fast enough though. At least we'll finally have a use for all those empty chinese shipping containers. Mass Deportation.

Hi Incorruptible's friend. :whiste:

Did he make any attempt to advise Congress? Nation of laws my ass...only when they suit him.

"A few months ago I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that's true, but the facts and the evidence tell me it is not. As the Tower board reported, what began as a strategic opening to Iran deteriorated, in its implementation, into trading arms for hostages."

Ronald Reagan addressing the nation on March 4, 1987. Did saint Ron advise Congress while pretending to be out of the loop?

*shrug* The Israelis released 1027 prisoners, including 280 lifers in exchange for Gilad Shalit. If any country was going to give the middle finger to terrorists, I'd imagine it would be Israel. But they negotiated instead.

And you know that some night at Gitmo, the NSA slipped a mickey into their hummus and chipped all of them. Somewhere in Ft. Meade right now is a monitor going "Beep, Beep" and GPSing every Allah-loving one of them.

As soon as they step out of Qatar, they'll be hit and blown up by drones.

Even if he had advised Congress ahead of time they couldn't have stopped him from doing the prisoner exchange. The only thing Congress could have done is stirred up the press enough to scuttle the deal.

Maybe we should get some more of the facts first as to how he got captured before deciding if a court martial is warranted.

The fact have been out for a while. The guy left his post on his own, got captured by the taliban, and some U.S. soldiers were killed looking for him.

So it's OK for Obama to break the law based purely on speculation of what may have happened if he met with high level Congresssional leadership regarding this matter? Is it now acceptable to rationalize all his actions in this manner? Wow.

ok what law was broken? Both the Department and Defense and Department of Justice determined that it was ok to proced giving the prisoners health was degrading.

Great can you provide the link the official DOD investigation for how his capture happened?

The FB page is blowing up and it's not pretty! Looking more and more like this soldier deserted and sought out the Taliban. If so, we traded off 5 terrorists for a deserter and a traitor. If this is true Obama should be finished, for he's not worthy of the office of POTUS. :|

If the allegations pan out, then I would think laying hands on the guy would be worth the price of releasing five non-charged, non-convicted prisoners. If the allegations prove false, it was well worth the price of releasing five non-charged, non-convicted prisoners.

Obama is required by law to notify Congress at least 30 days prior to transferring any terrorists from a U.S. detention facility. He could have easily explained the circumstances to Congressional leadership as an act of good faith. But no...that's not his style.

You really think this guy is great...don't you?

Congress was told of the negotiations ahead of time where being conducted. Also after the transfer members of Congress where immediatelly informed. Why do you think Congress should have refused to allow the transfer?

You really think this guy is great...don't you?

No I am not a fan of partisan bickering over the safety of US military personnel. You obviously are.

No...you seemed to have missed my point. But somehow I'm not surprised.

Trading 5 terrorists to give someone a just and fair trial on US soil is actually worth it.

By not trading for him they essentially convict him without trial.
