US Bans Ephedra...

Such Bull$hit. This is the reason all those FAT Burners Work. I am not worried though I have enough to last well over a year.

Prescribing speed for weight loss is like cutting off your foot because of a blister.

Well it looks like the Meth Industry will move up to Canada where Ephedra can easily be obtained.

They can still use psudoephedrine found in medication such as Sudafed. Or perhaps even Nor-Ephedrine

Supplement buyers beware - many more of the various roots, extracts, oils, and whatnots that are sold as dietary supplements are soon going to come under FDA scrutiny.

As it is right now, they have a license to sell them freely, this will not be the case shortly.

One more hit, no time to waste

How long before this ban goes into effect and all the stores will have to pull Ephedrine and all the cold and flu medicines that have Ephedrine in them from their shelves??

It's 60 days from the data the FDA posts their recommendation.

I think it's strictly Ephedra/Ma Huang supplements, not psuedoephedrine.

Yep. The stuff in sudafed and other decongestants is a different drug.

plain stupid. Oh, well, the supplement industry is already heading to court and will probably find a judge that will put up an injunction on the ruling until the court case is settled.

agh

Ephedra is no worse than caffeine... stupid retards take massive amounts of it and have heart attacks... if you take 800mg of caffeine in 4 pills you'll have a heart attack too.

Now i gotta go stock up.

And no I don't use it to burn fat.

guess it's time to ban caffeine..what else ya got?

Cheese burgers and eggs should go as well since they are a major contributor to heart attacks....

Slippery slopes suck

What? 100 deaths in the last few years? I think running with scissors is statistically more deadly.

how bout aspirin, we can ban that as well, some people are allergic to penicillin, let's ban bread as well so noone can make it on the side

I can't say I'm a fan of Ephedra, or how it's marketed as the be all end all quick fix for the fat fscks across the US, but there are some other drugs that are far worse that are still legal that you will never see banned.

Yeah, and you can always go the Tobacco/Alcohol/Marijuana route as well...

The concept of banning somebody to ingest whatever they wish into their bodies is the most ridiculous war on personal freedoms ever.
