UPS sucks

Link to a Different Ground Package that arrived at the same Center 5 minutes before

Both packages have the SAME "Business" shipping address.

EDIT:
Lets call "undelivered" package Package 1 and the "Delivered" Package Package 2.

Package 1 arrived at San Pablo before Package 2.
Package 1 and Package 2 arrived Oakland within 5 minutes of each other (Quite possibly on the SAME truck, the 5 min delay is most probably the time difference in unloading packages).
Package 2 gets Delivered while Package 1 has an "EXCUSE" by ups.

maybe it isn't their fault

It is an excuse they are using. Check the timelog.

Railroad problem at 11:00PM. Package still left at 11:22PM and arrived at the local head office (closest to me) at 12:13AM yesterday night.

They are just using the railroad excuse now....

EDIT: I dont even think that there would be a railroad problem as "San Pablo" is ~30 min drive from "Oakland"

So did you get the package today? Would you not raise any suspicion if they didn't note that train failure?

No, i havnt gotten the package yet. I called them up and they gave me the train excuse. When I mentioned the timelog to them and also mentioned that San Pablo is ~25 min from me and Oakland is ~10 min from me, they quickly said, "let me see what I can do" ....

I was just here but apparently some people here dont think so. What I am trying to point is that they had a "Train Problem" at 11:00 PM at their station ~30 min from me.

Package left at 11:22pm (22 min after train problem....it got fixed that fast ?) and arrived at the station nearest to me at 12:13AM (~10 min from me).

Package has been sitting there all day today and no one cares to put it on a truck for delivery. Well, the excuse they are using is that 22min Train problem.....

I have gotten UPS deliveries as late as 8pm. Maybe there is hope.

What's the problem?? Is it the fact that it took an hour to go 30 or 10 minutes from where the train had a problem? Did you consider they sent out a truck to pick up whatever packages that may have made stops for any overnight/2nd day packages in that area?

You also realize its a ground package and it's delivery date isn't set in stone.

I'm failing to see the problem here.

OP, you are teh suck. Yea, UPS just makes up train "problems" out of thin air becuase they give a sh!t what you think.

I love how people bitch and moan about an industry standard that they can't even comprehend.

You'd probably be happy if we went back to the pony express with digital tracking...except then we would have a thread about how it's taking so long. Maybe then UPS could pull the old "horse problem" excuse.

The train problem was probably earlier in the day, and it just says 11 pm when it was logged in the system.

That, and your package isn't even late yet. The person on the phone is probably thinking WTF what kind of an ass calls when it isn't even late yet during their busiest time of the year.

I prefer FedEx though.

it is "Ground" service, so they don't really have to deliver it in a given time frame, i don't think

if you want it fast, go for two day service or overnight or buy it B&M

Check the F'ing TIMELOG again. It is a DELAY of only 22 MINUTES and the package arrived at the Local UPS station (closest to me that delivers all packages in my area) at 12:13AM last night (about the time they receive all these packages).

Geez...some people just cannot read or what ?

Also, UPS GROUND has a GUARANTEED Delivery date. That is what UPS advertises so much.

Oh, btw, there is NO TRAIN TRACKS near the Oakland UPS Center (it is right next to OAK airport). I dont see any way UPS could transfer their packages from their San Pablo Center to Oakland Center.

What I am trying to say is how UPS makes excuses....

Um.. your reading comprehension skills are mindboggling. Let me spell it out for you, there was a problem with a train at 11:00 and they sent a truck to pickup the packages from the train which they did at 11:22 What's so hard to understand? Oh, and there is no guaranteed delivery date on ground shipments.
