Yes the OP paid the seller, but UPS covers the damage to the package because they created the damage to the box.

Why does the shipper have ANYTHING to do with it?

The insurance pay out should go to the reciever.

I fully agree!

they said contact the seller, and twice in a month? try harder to contact this person.

Yeah he never answered his PMs so I went ahead and tried harder to persuade UPS to help me. Well, the help they gave came in the form of copy and paste. I never got a human to talk to. TBH, Latarshia sounds like a fake name.

Montypythizzle,
did you approach the seller the same way you approached UPS? Because that could very well be the problem. You don't understand how to deal with people and you don't listen when you don't like the answer. If you used the method you used with UPS he's almost certainly angry and has no interest in helping you. And to be honest, it's hard to blame him.
I also doubt you're going to get anymore help here, you've presented yourself as a spoiled child and refused to listen when given sound advice.
There is a lesson for you here, the question is are you bright enough to understand what it is?

No, I did not talk to the seller as I did UPS.

A spoiled child? How am I spoiled? When I was a kid my parents made less than 30k together for 3 kids. Also, apparently I have listened to others and also thanked them for their responses.

You seem to be the one that needs to grow up and get a ****** life apart from a forum.
It's called a woman companion, find one.

UPS IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO HELP YOU. YOU ARE NOT THEIR CUSTOMER. THE LIABILITY IS PROVIDED TO THEIR CUSTOMERS, NOT THEIR CUSOMTERS' CUSTOMERS.

THEY TOLD YOU THIS.
PEOPLE ON THIS HAVE TOLD YOU THIS.

ONLY CONTACT THE SENDER AND STOP BITCHING ABOUT GETTING YOUR ASS HANDED TO YOU BECAUSE YOU REFUSE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE WHOLE WORLD KEEPS ON TELLING YOU AND KEEP ARGUING THAT WHICH IS IRREFUTABLE.

For future reference, and for Baby Jesus' feelings, the caps lock key is located about 1/16th" from A, which you used many times and still neglected to tap the Caps Lock key.

Also, please show me a post in where I do "get my ass handed to me" as hard as I just "handed you your ass".

I stopped reading at "Well ok I had a iMac."

Not because it is apple (which sucks anyway)... but because of the 3+ grammar mistakes.

UPS never did me wrong though. So since I like them and you don't.... this thread is null and void, monty.

OH wow, looks like another one needing "their ass handed to them".

First of all, you cannot critique my English until you have learned how to use grammar as well.

"Not because it is apple (which sucks anyway)... but because of the 3+ grammar mistakes."
I will now write your statement (as it really isn't a complete sentence).

Not because it is AN Apple (which sucks anyway), but because of the numerous grammar mistakes.

At least finish middle school English before trying to communicate on my level.

GRR, I keep missing him. I just wrote this: "ok IAM THE one guy who bought the imac and i was wondering if ups ever contacted you on the subjecty"

You can't critique IMs since they are "instant". I didn't butcher TOO many words.

YAY !!!! I ended up talking to him. He said he will refund the money minus extra shipping costs. He only said it was worth $50 (dummy :p). Considering other iMacs are going for ~$80, he should have said the full $100.
We will see how this turns out tomorrow.
HEH, looking back at this thread some of you guys did get "owned" pretty hard.

wholy crap you suck man. id more blame the shipper than UPS b/c"

a) not packaging it well enough to be thrown around (which is req'd if you ship via UPS)
b) not responding to you (he very well could have cracked it b4 he sent it and now hes not responding, especially since you PM'd him and he has posted after that, thereby ignoring your PM's)
c) using UPS (we all know not to use UPS on ATOT)

other than that, you have not made enough of an effort to talk to the shipping party.

and as everyone else says, you sound like you're 11 or 12 yrs old, when a company reads emails like that they think the same thing, and therefore do not give a cr@p. but as far as i'm concerned, you really are of that age and thats why you are so "whiney" as others have put it.

Why are you still posting....

I can't believe you tried "owning" me...

"A warning in advance; a forewarning"
"A presentiment of the future; a foreboding"

I had a warning or presentiment of the future of them stringing me around...
WOW, I have no idea why you are trying to "own" me. You just lost that round....

a warning is not the same as presentiment. and in regards to your prior post about someone arguing with a fifth-grader-i think you are the fifth-grader.

Your psychic prediction is..... WRONG.
Judging by the grammar of your username, I believe you are 15. (Although I think they teach the lesson where AN comes before vowels and vowel sounds earlier then the 10th grade.)

I never made a prediction and never claimed to be psychic

You did however make a prediction in the literal sense of the word. Psychic is just a cool adjective I decided to use.

Oh thanks chocobo (whatever that means...). You have now been limited to communication through pictures?

chocobo is a character in final fantasy. not sure if it's in other games also

Thanks for the info. I don't play too many "fantasy" games because I prefer real life.
HMM, regarding your fifth-grader comment, I am in fact not in the fifth-grade. Fifth-grade stuff is usually playing "fantasy" video games and what not.

First of all, "wholy" is not the same thing as "holy". Second, the package was very well packed which is noted by another post in this thread. Third, seller did not receive my PMs, and when asked about it he said he PMd me about this matter. Fourth, the seller was very cooperative and wasn't an ass or anything. UPS has never done me wrong BEFORE. I am guessing large packages are easier for them to smash?
I also didn't want to make people weary of him in his sale thread either.

Alright, at the time I ordered the game from EB I didnt know they only used UPS.
All indications on the web site led me to believe the purchase would be shipped by US mail.
When it didnt show up I called EB and they said it had gone out by UPS. I questioned the intelligence of such a delivery as it was clearly indicated on the web form I filled out that it should be shipped to a PO Box.
Not only did Electronics Boutique send out the item by UPS to a PO box, but the bone heads at UPS decided to accept it.

Did they realize their error and send it back to be redelivered?
NO!
They dropped it off at a random house out in town.
Such is the throught process of UPS employees.

Never again. They suck.

I had a similar problem with UPS, and they are THE WORST to deal with, so I worked the system to my advantage. I ended up getting as much as I paid for my purchased for the items UPS destroyed. The trick is filing a claim with them insurance wise, adn then following up with the BBB and make it clear that the destruction was purely due to their negligence, generally between the two you can get your money back... Bottom line UPS's customer support is an ABSOLUTE JOKE, and anyone who has this idiotic idea in their head that UPS's service is not to the recieving party is retarded, wether THAT individual paid for the service or not, they are the one in reciept of the service and they are also (whether indirect or not) the ones who pay for the service so by logic UPS DOES have an obligation to service them and treat them as a customer. But since UPS sucks all the way around this is irrelevent to them, not to mention their CS reps are all complete morons and might as well be in india as useless as they are in comparison to the lousy tech support you get when you call any of the outsourced companies that use india...
