I ordered a holster and my dad ordered a book. the holster was a little over $50 and the book was about $25.

UPS tried to deliver yesterday but they didn't leave the packages on the doorstep when no one was home like they used to. we live in a rural area thats back about 100 yards from the road and surrounded by forest.

tracking info said they couldn't deliver because they couldn't get a signature.
i don't know about the company i bought the holster from, but my dad called the company he ordered from and they said they didn't tell UPS they needed a signature, so it's not because of the company he bought from.

maybe you need to sign cause it's a holster?

i wouldn't think so - my glock was giving me issues and i sent it back to glock and they shipped me out a new unit - next day air - i came home and there it was sitting by the door - no sig needed and firearm w/ a return address that clearly stated "glock" in smyrna, ga....

do you have an FFL? i didn't think it was possible to mail pistols to anything but an FFL holder or the manufacturer? I know in PA you can mail long guns to anyone, but they have to be within PA.

no ffl. i was told that since i was the owner of the pistol, i could send it back to the manf and the manf could send it to me w/out a ffl. when i got my ar45 it had to go from the manf to a local ffl holder and there i had to fill out the paperwork since it was a complete firearm, so the background check was needed. w/ the glock that check had already been performed when i bought the first one.

it may differ from state to state for all i know, i live in AZ, where we have extremely relaxed gun laws.

It wasn't that long ago that UPS required a signature for every delivery. The trend of delivering without signatures is fairly recent. (in the past 5-10 years)

I just now (20 minutes ago) got an HD DVD player delivered and I didn't have to sign for it.

Somebody shipped requiring a sig. Do you honestly think your UPS guy, on his own, decided he needed your signature?

no, i don't, thats why i friggin asked, smartass.

the person my dad talked to when he called the company that he ordered it from said that they did not require a signature.
