UPS + Newegg = gahhhhh

I've been a Newegg customer for years too, but the last straw for me was UPS busting up my daughters Viewsonic 19 inch moniter I got her for x'mas... now I understand that Newegg isn't to blame for this & shipping damage happens somtimes, but its already been 11 days since I made them aware of the situation & I still don't even have an RMA # or call-tag to get the broken unit picked up. This is 100% Newegg's fault & combined with their recent higher prices & default UPS shipment I'll be doing the majority of my shopping with other vendors from now on, starting with my retail Opteron 170 ordered yesterday from Zipzoomfly for $400 with fedex overnight for $24 addl (2ed day would have been free)... Newegg wanted $465 for JUST the CPU!!!

I stopped using them as well but before I did I called them and complained. They told me that they had recieved a lot of complaints about UPS and were considering getting rid of them. Either way, after spending thousands at newegg I've moved on. Monarchcomputer doesn't have the selection that newegg does but I've had better luck there for most of my stuff. When I needed a printer I found it was less aggravating and only a little bit more expensive (since Newegg now charges shipping on everything and taxes us in CA) to buy it at a local store. I didn't think I'd see the day.
 
I ordered a wireless keyboard last week with guaranteed UPS 3 day. It was here after 4 business days (6 days if you count the weekend). What the hell is the guarantee for?

Edit: The unholy union of dung known as Newegg and UPS continues to disappoint. My delayed package is still sitting in their base, not yet out for delivery as of 10:00 am.
 
Extra-extra special Newegg feature! A subscription to some crap magazine that they sneak in there and I didn't notice until after I clicked confirm order....

Same here and its 1:27pm as I type this. I need the damn power supply so I can build my freakin new pc already..<sigh>.
 
why do people still use UPS with newegg 😕

"it saves me 2 extra dollars, blah, blah, blah"
 
While I don't blame Newegg for UPS' shortcomings or vice-versa, the two go hand in hand.

I will always go to Newegg to do my product research and viewing. As said before, their site is still > * when it comes to searching and images.
