how can they offer that dedicated box for just $110/mo for 10mbps? That works out to $11/Mbps which is way below any normal price I have seen (even for cogent). I'd assume they must oversell their bandwidth very aggressively.

Do you have any comment? If this can be proved legitimate then I am interested ;)
I'm going on the company's reputation. I assume they gamble and assume the average works out, and that some use it more and some less.

Whoever you split it with will receive a WHM resellers account I'm assuming, right?

Is Rackonline/Nectartech located or associated with AboveNet in San Jose?
The info I've received is yes, they are at abovenet, although this is a "subsidiary company" so I'd need to confirm it's the same setup. I have no indication that it's otherwise. You're the WHT king, you could probably find out as well. :)

Yes, it would recieve WHM..

I've read some so-so Nectartech reviews on WHT in the dedicated hosting forum.

Value wise this is hard to beat.

One day I'd like to switch my local web hosting customers to a GNAX dedicated server, they rock!

Yeah, I read the WHT reviews, from what I can tell the issues were from people that had unmanaged accounts expecting managed services, and nectar's ambiguity towards converting the accounts over once they became managed.

I know there's better providers out there but at that price I think it's a steal. Of course I barely crank out 3gb or so a month so I guess there's room to grow. :)

DT: PM me on root if you're that far along, it's obviously a touchy thing. :)

I'm sorry but it does NOT have 1000 GB of bandwidth, no machine has that kind of bandwidth. Inosfar as the 10 Mbps Uplink that's something that the server shares with other servers. Unless you're going to tell me that they provide a 10 Mbps uplink to each server that it does not share with others. In which case I'll tell you that you're full of it. Sorry about the mini-rant I just really dislike the way I see some servers advertised.
