Updating bios ?

How do you find out if your bios is in USB3 and in super speed mode please?

I'm not sure what that is? The laptop is a Dell e6440.

Ok, maybe you didn't mean to post in the Motherboard section.

You find the answer to your question by entering the BIOS setup. Should be F2 to enter hardware setup (BIOS) when you first boot the laptop. Then find the USB 3.0 section and see what the settings are.

Thanks for the help on this. It's appreciated. In the bios, it says that usb3 is enabled. I'm trying the links above as well, but the first one for diagnose, just seems to keep in the diagnosing mode? Also, in the usb tree viewer programme, it says high speed for all the usb ports.
