KB3102810 and KB3102812 were added to the list and batch file updated.

Also, KB3042058, KB3088195, KB3093983 are currently under investigation by the Matrix authorities.
A user on NBR Forums confirmed that these updates crippled his internet to a hault until he unistalled the so although there isn't much info about them on the web, this confirms that the author of DWS (Destroy Windows Spying) adding them to his app was a good thing......

POST #349 I don't know if it's a cauinsindence or not but I download games using steam and I only have a 300 kb/s connection. My download speed always goes to about 313 kb/s and stays there constantly like it's supposed too. But the last three or so days it goes from 0 to 250 to 0 constantly . It's so bad I was getting ready to call att and ask them what the hell.
Before I called I went through the list in the original post and checked to make sure all the listed updates were still hidden.
They were still all hidden except the last three being talked about in this thread. So I went ahead and hide the last three that just got added to the list and restarted my laptop. Lo and behold when I went to steam to start downloading it went straight to 313 kb/s like it usually does . So the last three updates that were added to the op were hogging up my Internet when ever I tried to download something. Or I just didn't notice it until I tried to download something.
I know my Internet speed sucks but that's the best I can get where I'm at. At 300kb/s I know exactly when something else is trying to use my Internet.

Just thought I would share my findings. Like I said it could be a cau incidence but I highly doubt it as I am constantly keeping an I on my Internet conection.

What sucks is people with low speed Internet connections and then you got Microsoft trying to keep tabs on everything you do wich I'm sure is somewhat constantly using your Internet connection.

Any way.

Good grief!! Microsoft is pushing Windows 7 updates at me so fast I can't possibly determine what is good and what is simply pushing Windows 10 or telemetry. I ran my uninstaller one more time, rebooted and shut off Windows update.

I would rather not have to do that but this has become absolutely ridiculous.

I am almost about to give up man, this has gone out of control. Users on other forums are reporting that all the hidden updates that they hid are all coming back again! Microsoft wants you to install Windows 10 by hook or crook. Even if you disable Windows update, it will re-enable it automatically! It's like a virus man!

There ought to be a law to stop this crap. (probably is)

I think it might be best to get your 7-8/8.1 system running fine the way you want it then make a good image with your chosen backup program. Keep that image protected and handy in case (and when) MS decides to stick it to you again.

Don't blame you for thinking of giving up - it's beyond belief at this point.

I'm finding that as well... it's nutty. You hide an update, reboot... and there it is, again! D: I thought it was just me...

yeah man I mean what am I supposed to add all the upcoming security updates as well to the list? People would start blaming me saying this is not good and may compromise their systems, but as we have seen lately, Microsoft is disguising telemetry and/or Windows 10 upgrade preparation updates as security updates since they saw that a lot of people are now aware of the bad updates, so they though ok well here's a new trick we'll try! we'll give em no choice :(

Tried to delete the GWX subfolder. First told I need Admin permissions. I have this in my login account, so I click continue. Then it tells me that I need permission from TrustedInstaller. No idea what that is. Call Microsoft?

I'm thinking of not installing anymore updates, critical or not. This is too hard and time consuming to keep up with. Maybe Microsoft will soon force the issue like they do in W10, and take away my ability to not install them.

So when I uninstall a KB update, how do I know if it succeeded?

It didn't. I went through the Program and Features feature to uninstall the KB update.

Berryracer, where are you my friend. I think that its worth to continue and no matter what MS will do, we should stick to this preventive actions. Once per week, people should take 10 minutes to take care for their computers and select manually all necessary updates, selected carefully by reading also this thread..

Keep up your work, its valuable for those who have not much time to spare, me included.

It would be nice if they were properly named:

1. KB9876543 Telemetry (Spyware)
2. KB8765423 Windows 10 upgrade (Malware)

Looks like this is getting seriously out of hand. Heh.

indeed man, it was easy at first to keep up with the bad updates but now it's one big mess, I'm not sure anymore what to add and what to remove. And with Micro$h4ft unhiding/re-releasing them bad updates again, it's like they want us to upgrade by hook or crook.

Well, you can get the Enterprise edition. Better control, less junk built-in. More time spent with your family.

The free upgrade... what did you expect.
