Wheel of morality, turn turn turn. Tell us a lesson that we should learn.
1. Don't take the comments from drunk women seriously. I'm normally a no-drama type of guy, but even I've said regretful things while under the influence.
2. I've met quite a few people with high level degrees, and some (read, not all!) loooovvveeee to hold it over your head that they have a master's degree or some bullcrap that you don't.
I once went out on a date with this girl, right? The conversation went something like this:
Me - "Hey, how are you?"
Her - "I'm good! Nice to meet you. What do you do for a living?"
Me - "I work escalations for a major internet company."
Her - "Oh, did you go to school for that?"
Me - "No, actually I have my degree in massage therapy."
Her - "So you don't have a degree?"
Me - "I do actually..."
Her - I have a master's degree in library science."
Me - "So you work at a library."
Her - "Yes."
Me - "So we both make the same amount of money, only you spent six figures getting yourself self a useless degree, and you have the gall to hold it over my head?"
While I respect her for getting herself a degree in a field she actually works in, which is admittedly something I never did, needless to say that was the last time we ever went out.
3. I bet the said dude with the PhD in marketing is actually pretty cool, and probably wouldn't say something stupid like, "Oh I have a PhD and you don't."
Besides, anyone who says either they or someone else is smarter than you are is probably too stupid to argue with in the first place. That's what 5 year olds say to each other, not adults.
