Alrighty, so in addition to military aircraft being flown into the WTC, with bombs being set off at precise locations to make the building collapse, WTC-7 was also rigged with bombs to collapse a short while later. The BBC was informed of this plan in advance so they could produce their coverage in advance, but due to a foulup they broadcasted that segment a bit too early. So, who is behind all of this, the Illuminati or the Stone Masons?

Suggesting that it's reasonable to conclude that they may say this because there was a fire, as they state in the video, and that a collapse could happen is complete hogwash as no steel frame building before 9/11 has ever collapsed. It should also be noted that no steel frame building since 9/11 has collapsed either (some partial collapse of some partial floors at the extreme).

Though the south face of 7 WTC suffered significant structural damage (according to reports and what photo evidence is publicly available) due to falling debris from the collapse of 1 WTC in addition to the fires.

Still waiting on the NIST report to come out and lay down all the evidence.

If that were true the building would have falling towards the South. Not straight down. There is no logic to what you are suggesting in any shape or form.

There is no evidence to backup the news magazine story by Popular Mechancis either. When grilled on providing the evidence to the public they claim that they were given about WTC7 they tell us that it is classified. There is no logic behind that either. How is classified material given to a magazine yet not provided to the American people?

7 WTC wasn't a normal steel frame building as part of it was built over a substation. The engineers cantilevered part the structure over it so I can see why it's failure might not be a straightforward. Again, I'm waiting to see what the NIST report says about all this.

Is that why it was considered the most secure building? The entire alphabet soup of spookdom had its offices in that building including the Mayor's shelter.

OK, but why did whomever you're saying did this do this? I'm not following. And why would they let the BBC in on it. If all those police officers knew it was coming down, why haven't they come forward to share where they got that information. And this countdown. Who performed that function? Cheney? 😉

This is a dumb assertion. Even if there was a conspiracy to bring down the WTC. (which I sincerely doubt), any half decent group of conspirators wouldn't do something like that.

First rule of conspiricies is that you involve as few people as possible... and you sure as hell don't involve anyone in the media.

Secondly, why would there be prior warning/a countdown? Obviously if there was a conspiracy behind all this, they already had no problem killing thousands of people, who cares about a few more?

Third, who cares about WTC 7? Why would they even bother tipping off the BBC? WTC 7 was small potatoes. It's not as if America was like "Well, you knocked down the two tallest buildings in New York and killed thousands of people... but we were going to let it slide until you knocked down WTC 7. Now we're ready for war!"

These gigantic conspiracies that must have involved hundreds of people are total crap. You really think our government is that competant? I can't even get the street outside my apartment fixed. They leave plans on how to make nuclear weapons on the internet. Our government couldn't keep Abu Ghraib quiet, and the only conspirators there were MILITARY people in a PRISON. Two organizations that are designed to keep people and secrets in. Conspiracy my ass.

People are talking about a grand world-wide conspiracy, involving the complacency and involvement of government officials from the President down to the cop on the street, news agencies, hundreds / thousands of eye witnesses, all of which have kept their mouths shut for the better part of 6 years, all so we could murder 3000 of our own citizens to justify invading the ME so we could steal its oil. When they made the decision to pull back and stop fighting the fire in #7 they pretty much gave up on the building and I am sure they thought it collapsing was something that could happen.

Therefore all the ?move back? and ?get out of the way? statements could have been related to them clearing the area just in case something actually did happen.

I think this thread is pretty much a big waste of time. Although it was a nice distraction from all the global warming/Iraq War threads.

bbc archives: the original video from the day of 9/11? pull it

At the very least, the BBC should provide a source from where they got the press release that the Salomon building collapsed 23 minutes before it actually did. They stated it unequivocally.

Because buildings are not rigid objects and they don't behave as such. Take one 2nd year engineering class (namely statics or mechanics) and you would understand why buildings don't fall over, they fall down.

And the reporter stated it unequivocally while it was in her background shot. In all the confusion, and considering that neither the reporter nor the anchor was a NY'er, don't you think it's possible that they just got their facts mixed up and reported the wrong building collapsing?

I also remember a lot of other reports that day that were wrong. Like, I remember hearing that a bomb when off at the State Department and the UN. I remember hearing there were at least two more planes, etc. All of which turned out to be BS. I guess the government just forgot to actually blow up all of that stuff.

Four years ago when I was living in the dorms (concrete structure, with great fire protection system) someone tried to burn down the place by setting a few chairs on fire. When the FD got there they told all of to get away from the building incase it received structual damage. It was 12 hours before they let us back in, until after engineers had signed off, etc. There was almost no damage. My point? Fire departments and Polics ALWAYS tell people to get away from fires, etc incase they collapse.

BTW: Other steel buildings have collapsed in the past.

It's ok. You can single me out. The woman was talking about a building having collapsed while it was clearly standing up right behind her. Did she think that nobody would notice? Or did she make a mistake about which building had actually collapsed? Or did she declare it as having collapsed when she should have said it was in danger of collapsing?

The person who takes her statements as gospel, points out that the tower is still standing and then automatically declares CONSPRACY! is the person who lacks critical thinking.
