This is an awesome price for a 3.3 megapixel camera. Maybe PM at OM and use $40 off $200 coupon. Get the docking base at OD for $59 with $20 off $75 coupon.

You'll have to search by brand, choose Kodak, and scroll down.

<< seems like a good deal. unfortunately for me, it uses MMC memory instead of CF. oh well. >>

😕 I think your in search of MMC memory because accoring to the specs it utilizes CF.

this is a great deal, but the only problem with this camera is that it doesn't have optical zoom.

My sister has the DX3600 (2.2 MP w/ optical zoom) and it is a great camera, very simple to use.

I want to buy my first digital camera. Is this the best i'm going to find for 200 bucks? Will digital zoom be at least tolerable because of the high resolution images? Should i buy, wait or look at something else?

Thanks

<----- is very poor and shouldn't afford a digi cam but really really wants one

<< Umm.. the HSN deal if you can call it that is for womens clothes, some cookware and makeup. Dont see any cameras there ?

What am i missing ?
>>

I'm having problems accessing HSN.com so lemme know if this link doesn't work.

Nevermind I don't think the HSN deal will work since it appears only certain items are discounted 15% off and the Fuji isn't among them.

I'm both sad but glad (saved myself $200).

I find it strange that this model uses MMC/SD. All the other Kodak Easyshare models (3500,3600,3900) use CompactFlash.

Kodak product page

According to this review it accepts SSM/SD.

Damn 3.3 megapixel digicam for $169 out the door? What am I missing here?

Do I get this or save $100 and buy the Kodak DC3200 for $59.99?

Yeah it does take SD. That's the only thing holding me back because I have so man CF cards. I looked on pricewatch and you can get 64MB of SD for about $40. So it's not that bad. The review on Steve's digicam said it was good. His sample pictures look great.

mr. rossman, i have bought three of those (3200), three of the oly 460z, and one s-10, which i kept for myself (sold the others to coworkers for what i paid). depends on what you want to do with the cam. but for $59.99, one could do a LOT worse imo. cam pics are a little warm like the oly 460z, while the s-10 is cooler(bluer). but the s-10 cost me $150. ymhpm soon maybe

hastily edits: but the above deal is worth checking out also... good post!

I just bought this camera, it rocks!

Now I need to figure out how to turn it on, where the battery goes, and how to use it.

w00t!

Even better it comes with it's own MADE IN JAPAN Lion rechargeable battery and works out of the box!

If only it took CF or SM.

I still have no idea why Kodak would use MMC in that camera, but use CF in the rest of the Easy Share product line. 😕

I'll confirm it's $169 in the store.

One left at Vernon Hills, IL - not in stock at most other NW suburb stores

I prob shouldn't have as broke as I am but I've really been needing a digital camera. Thats what my CC card is for I guess 🙂 Was thinking about the 1.3MP 3200 until I found this thread, damn good deal for a 3.3!

<< I'll confirm it's $169 in the store.

damn good deal for a 3.3!
>>

I can also confirm that it's $169.99 at Circuit City B&M on sale this week since I bought 2 last night and might buy 5-10 more tonight!

It is a damn good deal, it's an EXCELLENT deal for a 3+ Megapixel digicam. I just wish it accepted CF or SM!!!

Now we need to find a Hot Deal on 64MB or 128MB SSM or SD.
